I would be interested in some of the Super Red Pleco's either for shipment or if you are bringing fish with you to Aquashella Chicago I could pick up there. I dont see them listed on your website. Thanks
It would have to be shipment, I don't want to bring fish to Aquashella :) They are $18 each
@@RachelOLeary No worries
I would love to see cleaning videos! It makes me wanting to clean up my own aquartic mess. 😉😊💪👌
And I would love to see some Sphaerichthys osphromenoides in your collection. 😍
Having patience with all your side projects?? Are you crazy?
I love all your projects!! It a really great way to learn loads off all kinds of knowledge about different stuff
Indeed. I came for the fish, stayed for the plants. Love the side projects!
Those chili rasboras against all that green algae is🔥🔥🔥
I swear I've seen this comment on another vid before
Rachel, I absolutely love your fish room tours and cant wait to see what all comes out of the tubs.
It's been awhile since you've done a whole fishroom tour. OMG, 4 years already with the hillstream tank...time just rushes by so fast.
Breaking it down and moving it just fills me with anxiety, 😮...it is my very favorite tank of all. But, I have no doubt, you will spruce it up, and finish stocking it and I will love it more than ever.
I learn so much from your side projects. Summer time at your house is my favorite time of year for your videos. So many cool things go on.
Watching this AFTER I already saw your new aquarium and scape...girl, that is one bad azz tank and scape!!
👍💕👍
I have been watching your channel for over 3 years and I just now realized that you don't have the back of your tanks covered .that's how gorgeous your scapes are..
Rachel I love it that you have more than one hobby I like your plants extremely well because I'm a plantaholic too, I also have an aquarium just one it's a 30 gallon and that's all I'm allowed in this apartment if I had a bigger place of my own I would have multiples because I love fish
I love seeing all the fish tanks awesome i get to meet you I'm going to aquashella for Chicago ☺☺☺☺☺
Nice to see yah Rachel!!! Good luck with those loaches..beautiful tanks
Nice to see your big boys again
Thanx for the update, much as I enjoy your side projects I must say I missed your fish room 😉
I have never seen wild guppies before! I love them
Wow, Amazing fish room
I would love to see you work with the Rams. Blue Rams and stuff!!! Ive fallen in love with those little guys!!!.
Holly Paoni sent me. I was like I will get there when I get there. Yea I should have listened a week ago and rushed to this channel. We are redoing all our tanks this weekend. This is very inspiring. I love the racks at the start of the video.
Thanks karisa and welcome
Your fish room is amazing. I hope to have my garage looking half as good as this room. Ty for the time you take making these videos. 🤝
What a great video! I love getting the details on each tank. Thanks for sharing! I'd love to see some Kribs.
I'm always gonna vote for more guppies. For preferring wild type guppies, there's always the blue feral Guppy from Asia, which could be really neat. But other livebearers would be interesting too, possibly some wild type swordtails and/or mollies.
Rachel since your knee surgery recovered. You have transformed loads of your tanks and they look great.
I've waited so long for this Fishroom tour!! 🙌
It's been a few years since I did one!
You should go to that fish place in Lancaster and get some of their feeder guppies. They're absolutely stunning, though some are deformed, so you'll need to cull a few
Damn it's so clean and cool. Love this
I love dwarf rainbows! Furcata, threadfin, celebes, pacifier, fork tail blue eyed, etc. I'm planning to set up a 55-75g with mixed species.
Your tanks are so beautiful. I really love the Hillstream Loaches. 💖🐡💖
Please keep some blind cave tetras!!!! I love them and find them so interesting! Also those chili rasboras you have, WOW !!!!!
Great update. Love to be back to fish.
I would love to see glass catfish
I know they aren’t nano fish, but set up a tank for those goldfish! I’m assuming you’ll need to bring them in for winter? They’ll look so awesome as they grow😃 and they have so much personality.
I love it all! I can’t do what you can anymore, so I enjoy watching you!
Yes yes I can't wait to see that tomorrow that's going to be so amazing I love watching all your content whether it's fish or plants or what not you are a brilliant hobbyist okay as far as I'm concerned I really really really enjoy watching your Channel please take care and God bless can't wait to see that tomorrow night
I think a reef or freshwater pipefish tank would be super cool!
I love your side projects. Since Im the fish guy in my house my mom is the plant lady. You give both of us ideas on what to do with our stuff. Keep up the great work.
Nice fishroom. I had to break down/sell about 20 setups and tons of equipment due to a move. My passion was West African Cichlids. I’ve bred many Pelvicachromis taeniatus color morphs.. Moliwe are nice and easy. Wouri and Kienke (aggressive) are more demanding. I’ve also kept Lobe, Nigeria Red, Bipindi etc, all nice fish. Any would be a good fit...Nanochromis, Steatocranus and Analachromis species would work too..
I belonged to 2 aquarium societies and became friendly with an expert breeder where I got some of my fish. I’m also near Uncle Ned’s Fish Factory in Ma. (incredible store). He’s had a store since the late 70’s and is a true hobbyist. He’s forgot more about fish then most ‘experts’ know.
It’s tough when something really bad goes wrong. My buddies basement fishroom caught fire and extended to first floor back in 04 or so. He lost 60ish tanks and many rare fish. We believe the cause was a recalled Marineland Stealth heater but fire dept couldn’t prove. He never got back into hobby which is sad.
Love your side projects too!
All hail the queen. Thanks for sharing😍
Love your fish room it's awesome! Thank you for sharing.❤🐠😊
Your fish are beautiful! I would love to see you devote the bottom of an aquarium to a group of chameleon whiptail catfish, Pseudohemiodon Apithanos. I want these fish so bad, they just had them at my favorite online retailer and I just don't have the space right now but hopefully someday. Such a cool and not so common fish.
Great tour, thanks for sharing.
Every video you post is interesting whether it is related to fish or plants, thank you for sharing them! I was very surprised with the chilli rasboras, that's one of my favourite tanks
Beautiful tanks and fish!
That algea looks great. IMO. Would love to see a proper algae-scape tank. The right algea might make an amazing carpet in an iwagumi tank. Let goldfish munch away at it. Kuhli loaches would look like snakes crawling in grass.
I have an algae scape tank!
Very nice, and I like the side projects! lol
The mouthbrooding bettas and gouramies
I agree. Going to Aquatic Experience or Aquashella or any other fish event is a great way to rekindle your inner fish spirit animal. Bensonsfishroom will be at Aquatic Experience with a double booth this year with lots of spider root and other stuff. .. Stay fishy my friend.
You're content is all so inspiring!! ❤️❤️❤️

Excited about the new tank. I have a tank I got from my neighbors. It's caked in old algae, needs to be resealed, taller than it is wide, and funds are low. So this will be a fun projects requiring some cleverness and problem solving. SLOW is going to be the key. Rice fish, neon green rasboras, or gourami would be fun! I'm completely out of rooibos tea. I need more... for the fish. Yup, totally the fish. 🍵
Hahaha. You aren't too far from me, I will be getting a bunch of new tanks probably this fall/winter, so you will be welcome to any you want
@@RachelOLeary You don't say. I'll have to keep that in mind!
also will happily share plants with you :) Let me know!
@@RachelOLeary That is beyond generous!! Now I'm going to have aquarium fever dreams. Lol! Wake up in the middle of the night to satisfy my need to know. I need serious planning before I do anything. Thanks again!!
I'm so glad you are going to set up the birthday tank again! It was heartbreaking to see it cracked and empty. The loss of livestock was devastating!
If you do decide on new projects, especially over the winter months, I'd absolutely love to see you attempt triops shrimp, those weird prehistoric looking crustaceans that have drought resistant eggs.
There are some companies out there that sell kits to grow them (eggs, food, etc .. like Seamonkeys but much much larger and interesting)
There have been a few channels that have set up a triops tank but these UA-camrs are below newbie level and the tanks turn into a cloudy cesspool.
The best results I've seen is from a channel called "Lucky Penny Shop". Not only did he hatch triops but also fairy shrimp (not brine shrimp) clam shrimp and giant daphnia. Apparently the substrate had more than triops eggs!
This is just an idea suggestion but, as during the winter months all your outside projects are pretty much a no go, it could be a fun and low maintenance series of videos to make .
You’ve got such an eclectic collection. A very impressive fish room.
How about some rainbowfish?
i do need to get more pseudomugils again
Just found your channel, loving it! You are really great 😊
Welcome!
Hey, Rachel! Looking forward to seeing you at Aquatic Experience too!
Still have to book my room but look forward to being there!
That sand tank would be really good for some dicrossus sp.? And I want those contradens so bad!!!! Beautiful collection Rachel as always!!!!
Kribs!! I love my kribensis. They are fiercely protective parents.
Your tanks look great. Captain Cranky Pants is looking really good.
I have betta imbellis as well. My male is stunning. I never thought of putting my chili rasboras in the tank with the imbellis. They aren't happy in the tank I just moved them into. I think I will try them in the imbellis tank. It's black water and has loads of plants.
My shellies have completely redone the landscape of their tank and I think I see breeding behaviors. My fingers are crossed for babies.
Moving those tanks will be a task to say the very least. You'd think fish trapped in a glass box would be easier to catch. LOL. You would be wrong. I have a cory cat that is still alluding me. He would be much happier if he just let me catch him and move him to the tank with the rest of his tribe.
I enjoy all your videos - fish, plants, aquascaping, summer tubing, DIY catio. It's all interesting.
My wabi kusa balls arrived. I'm still waiting on a few plants. I think I know where I want to set up one of them. Not sure about the other 2 balls I bought. LOL.
I'll be at aquashella. I really hope to meet you. I want to thank you in person for all the lessons you have taught me and all the inspiration you have given me.
Those tanks are looking awesome Rachel.😎🌴🏴☠️
Wonderfull, very nice fishroom.
So excited to see your live stream tomorrow evening! I am also taking your advice and will be attending my local Cincinnati Ohio Aquarium club Sunday evening.
That is awesome! Great club too!
4:04 I just understand Colombia,My beautiful Country
Apisto borelli, love these guys.
Clean fish room !!! :-)
I would love for you to put a Dicrossus species in that Panda Cory tank. I'd suggest Nannacara anomala, but they are too hard to find and nobody but me seems to like them, or Pseudocrenilabrus, but they can be bullies and perhaps a bit bigger than what you are wanting.
Future fish I'd like to see you work with: non-annual West African Killifish (Aphyosemion, Scriptaphyosemion {my favorites!}, Archiaphyosemion, even Fundulopanchax)
All your tanks are gorgeous 😍 wish i had a big room too.
I love your channel and the plant content as well. I would like to see more wild bettas, gouramis, badis (anabantoids in general).
Nice. Thx! :)
And frankly, I don't know how you do it, keep up w/it all.
Somedays,neither do i!! 😂
Central and South American community cichlids are fun to work with, very personable.
I'd love to see you work with wild Angels. See you at Aquashella!
I’d be interested in seeing fancy guppies also I love your channel keep up the great work!!!
Thanks winter!
add a pair of kribs to the tank with the panda corys and emperor tetras! they are my new favorite dwarf cichlid. Great to see all the tanks!
Love the blackwater imbellis tank. Please consider working with more wild Bettas as well as Chocolate Gouramis and/or Samurai Gouramis.
Rainbows very few people ever talk about Rainbow fish! I have Blue, Australian, Bosemati (sp) and a couple others. They're really unique colors their shape is really neat when they breed their dance if you will is quite different. Wish more UA-cam Fish Keepers talked about them more. Personally I think they're very underrated. That's my vote for a new tank for you.
I do need to get pseudomugils again
Beautiful !
Looking awesome...I love seeing all your projects. #fishfam love
Nice set up
Beautiful tanks, and fish! So jealous 😍
There are dwarf acaras that are really cool for the bands Cory and emperor tank
Would love to see you work with Rainbow Shiners and Darters.
I have rainbow shiners and yellowfin shiners
@@RachelOLeary Oh, I din't realize you had rainbow shiners. Thanks.
If you are interested, I have plenty of Nanacara Anomala, a dwarf cichlid from Guyana! My pair has been breeding steadily for me. :)
Oh heck yes! Great fish!!
@@RachelOLeary Awesome! I have a couple of pairs that are about four months old now, I could send your way. :) In fact I would be HONORED if you got some of my fish.
Do you have a video on super reds? Can you make a video about what you do to breed em and how you have success? Thanks the room looks good. I wish I had room to have this many tanks. Also what light is on your wild guppy tank if you dont mind me asking? It doing awesome.
Amazing Amazing !! So many beautiful tanks, and livestock ! I'm I love with the moss that's are growing in your chili rasbora tank.. what kind is that ?? 😘👌
Its algae
@@RachelOLeary 😂 okay.. it just need a lot of time then. Thanks
Whaouh ! There's a big work in waiting ! Have you ever thought about having goldfish ?
Do a fancy goldfish tank!!!!
Happy Birthday!
BIG UPS RACHEL
New fan! I'm not sure if you've touched on them before as I'm slowly chipping away at vids, have you done a puffer fish tank before? : )
Just dwarf puffers
i would be interested in some of those super red plecos ... hint hint
Very cool!!! 😎
Is your racking system custom made with steel? Looks great
Yes, thank you
Amazing tanks!
Hi! Rachel, can you guide about one issue? How do you manage to stop fish and shrimp jumps without lid. I consider tank without lid to be more natural but had many suicides in past.
Chocolate gouramis, never had success with them
Ha I got a breading pair of kribs that turned out to be two males 😂 They’re cool fish but I don’t think they’re happy. I’m trying to rehome one or possibly both because they’re way bigger than my nano fish and I want to move endlers into that tank
I enjoyed this! Thanks for sharing 🥰
Why not keep Kribs with African tetras like Congo Tetras or Moon Tetras? You could even use African plants and Mopani wood.
Really enjoy your videos! What are the fish at 7:30 in your 75g South America? I have never seen that species. Gorgeous. Thanks!!
Nannostomus espei- barred pencilfish
My thought for the dwarf cichlid would be, instead of going to africa, would be to stick with south america and do a Dicrossus species.
Hi Rachel,
I was outside emptying my garbage can for the millionth time this summer after a rain to prevent mosquitoes. And I got to thinking. “These plastic cans hold water very well”. I was just wondering if a clean can can be used to make an outdoor pond. Or if the shape is too wrong. (Too deep/not enough surface)
I still want to get some of those purple oil cats, but will have to wait. So don't sell them all 😉. Been really busy. What is the food that you stick to the glass?
sera onip
Great video
do you know anything about breeding the rainbow gobies ???
What kind of plant is that at :35 - :45 sec mark(?), it's in the terra cotta pot, has super long stems and floats at the surface? That's a cool plant! Cool video.
I'm curious about your goldfish...what do you have in the future for those guys...I know they have been known for eating plants but if anyone could design a planted tank for Goldie's it's definitely you
They will probably go into the greenhouse
@@RachelOLeary speaking of green house...have you ever brought your tubs in doors during the winter and tried running in the aquarium room?..didn't know if the room was the issue..not having enough room I mean
i did last year and it was a bust, just made more humidity with no real benefit
Do wild betas coexist better than reg. kinds? 👍🏻💖
