  • What is Conair's Common Control? It's a combination of common hardware (B&R) and common UX (user experience) across multiple pieces of auxiliary equipment. The common control architecture makes it easier to on-board operators. Once they are familiar with the easy navigation and operation of one piece of Conair equipment - walking up to another Conair HMI will give the operator that familiarity that allows confidence in running each piece of auxiliary equipment. From a SmartFLX conveying system to a Thermolator, Dryer, or Blender, the user feels comfortable with the navigation and operation of the control. Common menus, common navigation, unique user levels, and settings all help make Conair's common control platform the best in the business. And the included Contextual Help Mode - a selectable screen overlay - guides operators through setting changes and explains what happens with each change/selection before pushing any buttons or making any process or setpoint changes. This tutorial function increases operator confidence while decreasing the potential for error. #ux #conair #plastic #operatorinterface #commoncontrol
