@@NolanMatthias so what is over in real estate? it's confusing. Why is this relevant to Canadians? What is changing here? will this come to Canada?

@@antonionunes3281 it's not really all that relevant to Canadians unless CREA decides to stop letting sellers advertise the commission being offered to buyers agents, and even if they do that it's not going to change much

What is the Buyer agent negotiating? Show me historical data where houses are selling less than the listing price. Then your Agent is going go try to sucker you into all their affiliates and get a kickback on that plus their commission from the Seller. It’s all a racket. The majority of agents will just farm out the closing process with little guidance. The Buyer is financing the closing cost. The only value I see here is that the Buyer gets to be allowed to shop the listings on the MLS. I see so many of these videos bottom line is that the greedy agents still want their ridiculous commissions for showing a house. Hopefully, this will weed out the bad agents. The DOJ should require a cap on fees and commissions just like the GSE do on closing cost. No one wins here besides the hedge funds buying up the houses and causing the rents to skyrocket. 90 percent of agents are worthless.

Go look for the data. It’s not hard to find.

Buyer representation like this has been done this way in Canada for a while. Don’t expect anything here to change anytime soon as most of it is already in place, which is why we know this won’t change much in the US
