To go alone with your guitar to play THIS song with so much intensity and honesty is one of the most gangster thing i've ever seen. Some Jeff Buckley type shit. Mad mad respect to you man And great cover by the way
God at the climax the rasp he has in his voice is incredible, to have the balls to go up and play a song like that to a bunch of highschool kids where most of them probably wouldn't know or like it at the start but to still impress them that much is amazing.
A very brave choice of Radiohead song to cover from this young Guy. The complexity of any Radiohead track is challenging but I reckon this deserves an, A+
I thought it was going to suck, only because every video I’ve seen of a teenager with a guitar in a talent show was just chaos. But this was great and if I were you I would get scared and mess up instantly
Bold choice for a talent show. Just imagining myself having the guts to play this in front of peers makes me emotional. This is one of my favorite songs. You did some cool substitutions on the chords. Bravo!
@@frododododo it's a bold choice because it's a slow, haunting song that's probably older than the audience, and it doesn't grab you until about 2 long minutes in (of course, it's spectacular when that finally does happen). It's a very vulnerable song to pick. It would have been safer to pick something more upbeat that gets the audience rocking right away. At my high school's senior talent show, a kid played Voodoo Chile (Slight Return), which starts off with an iconic wah-wah pedal solo and then rams into that incredible verse riff. Not saying that was better, just a safer choice!
Vocals were fantastic especially towards the end. Really impressive control & grit. Literally the only issue was the wrong chords at the end of each verse. You continue playing Am-E-C-D when it should be Am-E-Asus4-A major which is dissonant with the vocals. Anyone who doesn't know the song probably barely even notices it but if you corrected just that one error it'd be a flawless performance
first time i heard this song was when watching black mirror after my mother recommended me it, she passed away this year, this cover was INCREDIBLE, i had goosebumps for the whole duration of the video, keep it up.
I don’t think it was an intentional dare. It sounded like he didn’t realize the chord progression in the second half of each verse ended a bit different than the first half and so he just looped the chord progression from the first half of the verse a second time
Wtf closing my eyes I can imagine this being a clip from a concert Guitar was solid considering you were also singing?!! Great job dude keep working on everythin!
There’s very few good covers around while the chords are totally wrong. This is amazing. I would never be able to play and sing. Very few people can sing this at all. This is amazing. I didn’t even read high school until now. I was just listening with it in my pocket. I have never heard a good cover before especially not in front of an audience. I hope you continue to make music you’ll go far
It’s a shame he changed the verse chord progression and missed out that lovely major resolution at the end of the verses that comes from a suspended chord - that’s one of the things I love most about the song! But he’s got a good voice and a lot of talent & potential.
genuinely started crying a lil haha awesome to see another teen reckonize this song and put so much passion into it ur so talented and i hope u continue with music.
I like this more than the original song, and I like thát song very, very much. Maybe I'm just projecting, but I get massive nostalgia from this. Not wishful to again feeling trapped in that segment of life, but for what feels like an epic collective moment of a sort of recognition of the crowd's defiance. As intended
My man! Seriously this song is one of my all time favorite Radiohead songs…most people don’t get Radiohead and even the ones that do would never choose this song as their favorite. The way it slowly builds until that final payoff is just awesome.
the audience whispering exit music after the first line is goldddd
