This video is the perfect example of the union of ancient techniques with modern techniques: the perfect symbiosis of past and present. Very beautiful allegory of the knowledge of humanity.

It's simply incredible to see all the tools used today in order to reconstruct doors that were built in a time when we didn't have many of these modern techniques. It makes you realize how incredibly painstaking the process was when the originals were first made.

Amazing. Just visited Florence and was intrigued to find out more about the craftsmanship. Does anyone know how to find out more about the initial way of how it got sculpted back in the day? How was this possible without silicon and such precise power tools and how long did it take?

Vasari's "Lives of the artists" cover that, specifically the biography of Ghiberti.

This could have been very informative. Gone into detail about the original process and how the restoration process worked. Instead we got this rediculous music!!

The magic of technology allows one to turn off the music and play something else that better suits one’s taste.
