Good timing for this. I'm gifting my HS grandkids with Happy Planners. She will be a Senior, he will be a Freshman. I did ask them if they thought it would be helpful to have a planner system, and they said yes.

The staples brand of disc punch is rated for 20 pages at a time. the Happy Planner punch is only rated to 5 pages. Also the Staples punch is a fraction of the price. :)

Hello, Heather. Finding you as a 'mentor' for planning has been a huge thing for me. I started trying planning in January 2019, and the year is almost over (Nov 17) and I wasn't able to succeed. However, coming across you Welcome video posted on March 18, 2019 might have changed my prospects of becoming an active planner. I am Brazilian and planners, stickers, washi tapes and other planning supplies are either difficult to find or very expensive. Last December I found an affordable planner but I never totally adapted to its design and style. I had been considering buying a Happy Planner for a while when I finally made up my mind and had one imported. Considering shipping and importation taxes, it costs 3 times as much a you guys pay for it. And considering the value of our currency, the price of a Happy Planner comes close to 50% of our minimum monthly wage. But I took a deep breath and did it. And now, except for the punch, I'm ready to go. So, I would just like to say thank you for your videos, suggestions, ideas and support. See you around. XOXO.

Hi Heather...I"m not necessarily new to planners; in the past I always used the DayTimer planner system. But never have I had the chance to be so creative; or to get my creative juices flowing. I"m so excited as I just purchased my first happy planner today (along with washi tape, stickers, pens) and got such a great deal at Michael's. I can't wait to July 1 when my planner starts :) Thanks for sharing such awesome tips. I'm looking forward to your new videos and going over older ones on your channel. God bless you. ~ Melissa ~

I had a friend who told me she loved her disc planner...But she never explained further than that. The beginning of this video makes it so clear why discs are super cool!
Hey, I don't think I saw a video on this, but could you explain or brainstorm what to do when you get a 17-month (spiral bound) planner midway through the planner (in my case, I'm in the year 2020 using a planner that started in August 2019)? I hate to rip perfectly good pages out, but they're kind of useless and heavy. I got the notion to use the pages to swatch, but there's gotta be something better... You are super, btw, I keep watching your vids. :)

Love your videos. I'm new to this - I wish i would have discovered this while my kids were at home, but i"m picking up the planner to start a "budget" planner to get my feet wet. Can you expand a nini planner? I bought the planner, but also the expansion budget pack - they don't all fit, so I was curious what you'd recommend? Just a few months at a time, or can I put bigger discs on the mini so I can have more than a few months on it? thanks! I'm going to keep on watching all the videos! they're awesome!

I’m brand new to the Happy Planner. I have a dated planner for 2018 on the way. I purchased a 6 month extension pack so I could start right away. I watched oodles of UA-cam videos and subscribed to your channel because I think you give the best advice! So...my question is: do you have a video on setting up and dating undated Planner pages? Im starting with October 2017 and there doesn’t seem to be enough weekly columns to get to Oct. 31. What do I do? Have you copied additional pages? Or do I put the last few days of October in the November tab? I’m confused!

Thanks great tips and I am a huge journal, planners love all the supplies but I start and stop so many times. And my life is in shambles, I need one for business for my goals ideas, home and huge one for health should I do one or maybe do 3 separate. I lose stuff so many notebooks lost, half started. I really like this happy planner, I have to try that paper mate fine marker pen. I have tried so many and well guess didn't try that one. Thanks I am inspired to get back into my life to organize my time. thanks

Many people in the planning community have more than one planner for various reasons. Happy planner comes in different sizes including BIG, Classic and Mini. They also have Faith, Fitness, Student and Teacher Planners as well and you can get the mini Planners in a horizontal style as well as some of the classic planners, of you want to try something different from vertical.
In your position, I would probably just start with two, a classic and a mini or if you want to just jump straight in, a classic, a mini and the fitness one will help. That way you'll have one immediately dedicated to health, one for on the go and one to keep at home for your goals. It's up to you though. I've always been a person who loves planning systems and journals and like you I've always dropped and started many over my lifetime, however I've found that I've stuck with my mini quite well because essentially it fits with my lifestyle and doing some of the decorations help to keep me motivated 😊.

Hi! I’m from the UK, just recently fallen over these planners (I’ve used a Filofax for years now but never liked their inserts so made my own). These HPs seem lovely and I’ve just ordered my first. My question is regarding the sticker books: do they work on horizontal layouts? Oh and also, I was looking to make a notebook out of the a5 paper I have left, do you know at all if the punch would work with punching for that sized paper or if it’s best to get a single punch and diy it? Thanks

Haven’t actually physically shopped yet but plan to on Saturday- gaining knowledge lol Just wondering what the planner will consist of on its own. Thanks 🙏🏻

Heather! Hello my name is Christina and I just wanted to tell you what a huge help and inspiration you've been to me. I'm a lifelong planner but I just discovered the Happy planner line last week and it was love at first plan lol but seriously I'm hooked and haven't even received my planner yet. I ended up choosing the momin aint easy planner and I'm super excited for it to get here. You've been such a huge help for me figuring out the basics of this system that can come off as very intimidating and overwhelming just bc of the sheer volume of products. I'm a widow and a waitress and a mom of 2 teenagers, 16 and 12 and so money's tight so I was wondering since you have butt loads of accessories and stuff you're not even using or able to use bc you've got so much would you be interested in paying it forward and helping out a newly found planner sister? Lol even if you can't or won't I still love your spirit and I've very thankful for your guidance. God bless you love!!! Oh ps are there Any certain accessories you advise me to get to go with the mommin ain't easy classic planner and also I want to get a happy Notes book for my goals plans dreams and projects. Any suggestions or do you have an extra one??!!!! Tia ♥

Hi. I just bought a mini happy planner. Even though I'm supper excited I'm torn as to if I should have gotten a classic. I was scared off of the classic in the store because of the size of it and thinking it may not travel well. Now that I'm home I'm worried the mini won't be big enough to write in. SIgh. Any tips for this?

Jeanette Lafond there’s plenty of people that have multiple planners and use a mini one that stays in their purse or for traveling to put quick things in like a to do list or more and then their main planner stays at home on a desk and can store everything else like appointments, events, etc.

    • @shannonwooters3443
      @shannonwooters3443 6 років тому +2

Alyssa Herman it can but ppl try not to a whole lot bc it will damage it if you do it too much.. or you can use a regular hole punch and use scissors to make the cuts.. I lay a cover or paper over the one you want to create and use a pencil to mark the exact shape then you can use your regular punch and scissors to mimic the happy punch shape

Graciela Villarreal i’m in high school and i use an online planner on my phone during school but for all of my non-school related things i use a happy planner (i got it discounted at walmart for way cheaper than the usual $30 and i use stickers and colored pens to decorate it). If you don’t like using such a big decorative like happy planners then regular agendas work too.

Jennie Cash this video is 11 minutes. Most UA-cam videos are 10 minutes long. If that’s too long for you then no, I don’t have many you will want to watch. Otherwise, I have a happy planner 101 playlist with lots of videos that help newbies. Please remember that when learning something new, you have to invest time into it in order to improve.
