I have the Classic! I purchased the "pineapple" one from Walmart this past week because I needed a planner to keep track of my college coursework and just my life and anything else, kind of like a pre-set #bulletjournal - I even bought pages and stickers to add in! My mom saw that I wanted the Mega pack at Joanne's as well and the mega packs of stickers and paper they sell too. I even got Christmas glitter markers and other markers to make it awesome!! Soooo excited to be using it, but to reallly use use it by the hour (thanks to the time break down pages I bought) to really plan my days out because my courses can each be worth up to 5-6hrs of work per day just to pass to earn my Purdue Bachelor's degree in Nutrition.
Hey megan! As for the traditional three block layout; I use that a little differently! It stems from the last planner I used before the hp. I use it as each block is a different "topic" of my life. Ie: work, kids, home management. ;)
I like a vertical Happy Planner, but recently bought a few different styles so that I can try them. Maybe I will change my mind about what is best! I love the horizontal layout as my prayer planner. It works for me by giving enough room to write one prayer or Bible quote a day (usually). I ansolutely favor the big planner, but do use different sizes as well. For me, the layout and size are dependent on the planner’s purpose. I enjoy watching HP Videos to see how other people are using them. It doesn’t matter how old the videos are because I can get ideas from them no matter their age.
When I saw the 3-box vertical weekly view, I said, "That's for ME!" (business, home, and self). As for when people scavenger a planner, that is NOT right. I bought my daughter a luggage set for a bridal gift and it seemed light. I opened the largest one and it was empty! I did find one that matched the inventory on the outside and reported the empty one to the store. I'm going to start working on my planner the end of October. Great video!
i chose my planner because I wanted to focus on budgeting. I got the budget kit from Joann. I have since added so many accessories to turn it into a franken-planner. I love the versatility of it. my store nearest me doesn't have everything. It is a small Joann store. I'm completely obsessed with turning it into the perfect planner so i appreciate this video so much. There are so many options with Happy Planner. Thank you for your video and channel.
Great review, I personally love the horizontal layout better, more for a personal planner. I have 2 currently, one for my crochet business and the other for my job, because of all the meetings I have to set up, I ended up purchasing some customized functional stickers for the boxes. I only wished that MAMBI would’ve not limited the Mom planner to only Mothers but made one for the working woman.
They have a 6 month extension pack of the dashboard layout that you can purchase 2 packs of and add your own rings! I loved the layout, but am not a mother, so I that’s what I did! If you’re interested in the mom planner layout, you may want to look into it! 😊

Yes! You r right! The idea of the planner is make your life simple... Not to complicate it even more! If you do one thing, you don't do the other at the same time .... Planner is only a tool not a sense of life...
wow! I can't believe you purchase that many planner. last year my sister in law got me a happy planner kit from Micheal, it was cute but I stop using planner so I never really used it. Way before cell phone I always had a planners. A few month a go I was looking for something that I can do as a photo journal and I found the happy planner and now I am obsessed I purchase the Happy Memory Keeping Book - A snap shot of a happy life. I am loving it. I am using it to do photo challenge, bullet journaling, and just jotting Adulating stuff.
when you did the recap or overview of the planners toward the end of the video you called the vertical planner with the 3 blocks and the 3 blocks with the lines a horizontal!!! haha! not sure if anyone else noticed! vertical is up and down, horizontal is side ways!
I have the classic budget kit, the classic healthy hero, a classic size with vertical three boxes that is floral on the front that I got at Walmart and have no idea what it's called, and a Miss Marker mini that is horizontal. I like vertical best since that's the way my brain works. The mini is for lists and things when I'm on the go so I hope it will work ok. I also want to get a big one for homeschool planning.
Now they're coming out with so many layouts, beside the vertical and horizontal, the dashboard, hourly and now the monthly with to do daily... after trying all of what you have, wich is your favorite planner layout? Please and thanks

I'm going to be using #big plan planner and the extension pack of the super mom layout. I love the vertical because of the boxes. I might consider keeping my mini but I'm not a fan of horizontal. I'm putting squad goals to the left or giving it to a friend.

I just got my first happy planner for Christmas because I saw them at Walmart for the holidays. My mom got me a really big sized one (12 rings) and I really like it, and the space it has (even though its bigger then a conventional personal sized planner. Chances are I'll downsize in a year, but we'll just have to see I guess! I have no complaints so far. I find these videos fun to watch even if I'm not planning at the moment, I'm just getting some background knowledge to hopefully jump start my life as a planner!!!
The specific style is a big colorful lined one that says "Today will be full of wonderful things" Which I think is a great reminder for everyone going into their day!
I’m new to the Happy Planner community and I fell in love with the Super Mom collection but I loved the floral cover of the Socialite so I grabbed it bc I didn’t want to have regrets in case I missed out. Now....I’ve fallen for the Squad Goals/Girl Gang. I love the seasonal layout. So I’m having a really hard deciding which to use lol. I’ve started already with the dashboard and I do like it but I’m so confused 🤪
I went with the super mom planner in classic but I’m undecided on which I prefer for my mini. I like the super mom but I have it in classic and didn’t want two of the same, but I love the layout.

I started off with the classic & I didn't use it much. I purchased a big Happy Planner & went nuts!...lol...my 2019 planner is big...Moon Child. I am a moon child so I felt like it was created for me.

I had just purchased the Modern Chic planner as it’s horizontal and I’m new to Happy Planners (previously used a Filofax - I’m in the uk). Then the planner girl line came out and I really want the supermom one. I have stamps which I use to make my own stickers which includes boxes to section things off and add appointments etc. To find the dashboard layout AND stickers that are already made up is heaven!! Now I’m not sure if I should purchase the supermom planner and re date for 2020 or risk it for a biscuit that they might come out with something similar in their release for that year. Who knew it would be so tough!

The socialite planner is the same as the student planners. It rocks for block schedule classes. Rather you are in or work in high school or college.Thank you Happy planner for helping me keep my GPA high.
Well I thought it was going to be the super mom for my mini. However, I found that it’s too small space wise. I went back and looked at the minis and Lund I liked the Miss Maker a lot. It’s very colorful and bright. I like the checklist layout and the added space for decorating. Can’t wait to get it. I love my classic Squad Goals. It’s the best 18 month planner. I’m going to be super sad next year.
i really like the layout of the mom planner! a lot of the stuff that i do i'm just trying to fit in sometime during the week because i work from home. (I use a separate planner for work because it's just boring.) Even though I like it, i'm not a mom, so I don't want "happy mama, happy life" sayings. That's a deal breaker for me. Hopefully they come out with one in that layout that isn't so mom specific. Why are only mom's allowed to plan that way? *pout*

yea this year I'm not sure which one I want for 2019. I love the No Drama Lllama colorways (pretty neutral) however it's horizontal which I haven't used since starting with HP in 2017? so not that long but I like the vertical layout lol crazy b/c horizontal was all I knew for school planners

I am using the horizontal classic faith planner now. I might like to get the classic vertical lined planner. I devided my planner into 3 columns for each day with 3 categories. 1. To do's/meal 2. Appointments/events/birthdays & anniversaries 3. Work. Do you think breaking it up like this is ok. I only work part time in the evenings starting from 5:30 to 9:30 so I write in the times under the work column. I might use the 3 lined boxes in the vertical planner using the same categories. Just like to know your input. It's so confusing when it comes to planners and planning. Thanks for all the great videos.
I think the great thing about these planners is that you can creat something new and fresh every single week. You can even get a few planners on clearance and try a different layout for the same week and find what works best for you.
Although I love the Socialite planner layout, I already have an 18-month HP for the upcoming year so it doesn't make sense to buy another one and have no idea of how I want to use it. I also bought a student HP on clearance and the layout is very similar to the Socialite so I'll get to plan using that format.
I feel you, Melissa. I wasn't at first but now I am always for buying more planners. I have found as I get more into this there is always a way to plan more.
I have struggled a little with what the right planner is for me because I have a lot of medical appointments for me and my kids. I have special need girls. I also have medical treatments that I have everyday during the week. What planner do you think would work best?
I love classic planners. But if you are really busy you can get a Big In the 12-month Watercolor planner sold at Michaels. I think they also have it in a classic size.
I love your videos! I love the mama planner but I’m interested in planning in a time log type of manner. But I’m not sure if the mama planner has the correct type of layout or space for this type of planning. Or even if you can recommend which type of planner is best for a time log type of planning? I am brand new to the Happy Planner kick. So, I order my planner and then watch videos and realize I can't just buy one planner, I need more so I can combine the crap outta them all. Then I watch other videos of what everyone else is buying, weekly kits, stickers, dividers, etc, etc. I'm kind of wondering if spending , OMG, perhaps hundreds of dollars to have A planner for my year is what I should do. @@FableBeauty Well, I ended up getting a 2nd planner this morning (No Drama Llama classic size) I think it will work exactly how I want my planner set up because it does not have the weekly sheets, but has great filler type sheets and I will work the sheets into my Big planner. I totally look inside now though just the edges. I dont take off the plastic strip. I recently bought a happy planner notes book and didnt look inside. Luckily I bought it for the cover. The bonus was it came with dot grid paper (love! Moved from bujo planning) BUT when I got home it had lined paper. Someone had switched the covers. Discs were same. Crap but ok-ish. I had thought about getting lined so now I had it. Lemons into lemonaid right? 😅 Super excited about starting Super Mom layout planner and avid 1/2 sheet user. Even the productive 1/2 sheet could be cut into 3 mini sheets.
Hello, I plan on going to Micheals tomorrow and getting my 1st happy planner. and I was so lost on different sizes. I don't see that great so I am hoping classic will work. but the problem is I want to do one for budgets/cash envelopes and I need one for daily planning. do you know if you can just make buy one? or can you make your own? I have 2 issues lol. 1 im on a budget and 2 iam not crafty at all lol. so can you give me some ideas or maybe point me to another video or website? thanks so much. so far your video is very helpful
I just bought my first.. And did not know they had different kind. Just grabbed a pretty cover. lol. And it doesnt start until July. So its kinds useless for me for a few months. Lol.
I got Daily Details Classic size for 2019. My 2018 planner is the Faith Planner. I didn't get the faith planner this year because I don't like the soap method for every day. I use my planners to track everything and didn't want to have to constantly be changing the layout. I just like the 3 boxes a day to separate devotionals, plans what I did that day, and whatever i decide to do this year with the 3rd box. Last year it was stickers, pictures or bible verses depending on the day.
I went to Michael's the other day and someone used a planner, wrote in it and took papers out. I was so mad because obviously the employees didn't check it before giving the person a refund.
I'm overwhelmed as well for my personal planner. I do have a big for work. I do have a catch all classic and mini for on the go that I feel like I really don't "need". So I said I was sticking with those for 2019. I also picked up the monthly layout but now I'm not sure about it. I also have some budget extension packs and I want to pick up the dashboard extension pack to **sigh** I also picked up the healthy hero mini. Vertical layout is my preference.

Idea: for Holiday or daily diy cheap but cute, I buy those fridge magnet notepads and use them as 1/2 sheets - just take apart and hole punch!

I am using the horizontal classic faith planner now. I might like to get the classic vertical lined planner. I devided my planner into 3 columns for each day with 3 categories. 1. To do's/meal 2. Appointments/events/birthdays & anniversaries 3. Work. Do you think breaking it up like this is ok. I only work part time in the evenings starting from 5:30 to 9:30 so I write in the times under the work column. I might use the 3 lined boxes in the vertical planner using the same categories. Just like to know your input. It's so confusing when it comes to planners and planning. Thanks for all the great videos.
I think the great thing about these planners is that you can creat something new and fresh every single week. You can even get a few planners on clearance and try a different layout for the same week and find what works best for you.

Girl yes! I had the classic and the folders were bulging. I just use the hole punch and add it to the back.
Although I love the Socialite planner layout, I already have an 18-month HP for the upcoming year so it doesn't make sense to buy another one and have no idea of how I want to use it. I also bought a student HP on clearance and the layout is very similar to the Socialite so I'll get to plan using that format.
I feel you, Melissa. I wasn't at first but now I am always for buying more planners. I have found as I get more into this there is always a way to plan more.
I have struggled a little with what the right planner is for me because I have a lot of medical appointments for me and my kids. I have special need girls. I also have medical treatments that I have everyday during the week. What planner do you think would work best?
I love classic planners. But if you are really busy you can get a Big In the 12-month Watercolor planner sold at Michaels. I think they also have it in a classic size.
I watched a variety of videos. Rings, strings, discs, bullet journals. I chose bullet journal in HP mini.😄😄😄

I love your videos! I love the mama planner but I’m interested in planning in a time log type of manner. But I’m not sure if the mama planner has the correct type of layout or space for this type of planning. Or even if you can recommend which type of planner is best for a time log type of planning? I am brand new to the Happy Planner kick. So, I order my planner and then watch videos and realize I can't just buy one planner, I need more so I can combine the crap outta them all. Then I watch other videos of what everyone else is buying, weekly kits, stickers, dividers, etc, etc.
I'm kind of wondering if spending , OMG, perhaps hundreds of dollars to have A planner for my year is what I should do. I WANT TO cause everything looks so fun to use, but my reality is I can't. boohoo. LOL

@@FableBeauty Well, I ended up getting a 2nd planner this morning (No Drama Llama classic size) I think it will work exactly how I want my planner set up because it does not have the weekly sheets, but has great filler type sheets and I will work the sheets into my Big planner. Where did you get the leather cover been looking for 1 to go over my planner so it won't get destroyed
I totally look inside now though just the edges. I dont take off the plastic strip. I recently bought a happy planner notes book and didnt look inside. Luckily I bought it for the cover. The bonus was it came with dot grid paper (love! Moved from bujo planning) BUT when I got home it had lined paper. Someone had switched the covers. Discs were same. Crap but ok-ish. I had thought about getting lined so now I had it. Lemons into lemonaid right? 😅
Super excited about starting Super Mom layout planner and avid 1/2 sheet user. Even the productive 1/2 sheet could be cut into 3 mini sheets.

Hello, I plan on going to Micheals tomorrow and getting my 1st happy planner. and I was so lost on different sizes. I don't see that great so I am hoping classic will work. but the problem is I want to do one for budgets/cash envelopes and I need one for daily planning. do you know if you can just make buy one? or can you make your own? I have 2 issues lol. 1 im on a budget and 2 iam not crafty at all lol. so can you give me some ideas or maybe point me to another video or website? thanks so much. so far your video is very helpful

I just bought my first.. And did not know they had different kind. Just grabbed a pretty cover. lol. And it doesnt start until July. So its kinds useless for me for a few months. Lol.

I got Daily Details Classic size for 2019. My 2018 planner is the Faith Planner. I didn't get the faith planner this year because I don't like the soap method for every day. I use my planners to track everything and didn't want to have to constantly be changing the layout. I just like the 3 boxes a day to separate devotionals, plans what I did that day, and whatever i decide to do this year with the 3rd box. Last year it was stickers, pictures or bible verses depending on the day.
I loved the faith planner for last year!
Can I buy the cover and that I like and replace it with my favorite calendar format?

I'm overwhelmed as well for my personal planner. I do have a big for work. I do have a catch all classic and mini for on the go that I feel like I really don't "need". So I said I was sticking with those for 2019. I also picked up the monthly layout but now I'm not sure about it. I also have some budget extension packs and I want to pick up the dashboard extension pack to **sigh** I also picked up the healthy hero mini. Vertical layout is my preference.
I feel like there is always of bit of something I love in all of them so I have to buy them all lol
