Minh Quang Đoàn tbh it’s true bc she keeps Sherlock and John in line (and houses them), and they’ve saved London numerous times from terrorism n stuff😂
God bless Mrs. Hudson. She has to put up with a lot from Sherlock and John. You want Sherlock's wrath, then go for the heart and hurt Mrs. Hudson. He will go to Hell and back to get revenge.

I said this to someone in my class except I switched the name and the place, and people kept saying that the person I hated got dissed. They didn't even know where I got this from
My fav ones: "Sentiment is a chemical defect found in the losing side" "I've always assumed love to be a great disadvantage, thank you for the final proof" "All lives end, all hearts are broken, caring is not an advantage sherlock" "Work is the best antidote to sorrow, Mrs Hudson" "What's it like in your funny little brains, it must be so boring" "Once you've eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable must be the truth"
Mycroft said that 'caring is not an advantage'. Here's the loophole: He never said he doesn't care, just that he thinks it unwise. Why would he think it unwise? Maybe because he and a certain baby brother of his happen to have a misunderstanding about their relationship that poisons it. That's sad, I know, and I'm sorry, but that's my headcanon.

"I don't have friends. I just have one." "Not. Dead." Watson: "One more miracle, Sherlock, for me. Don't. Be. Dead."
These aren’t the most genius, they’re just the most quoted. You’re missing fantastic ones like “Your life is not your own, keep your hands off it.” And “Intriguings are not to be ignored. They are processing of the mind too fast to comprehend.” Those are genius.
My favorite quotes (don't know if it qualifies as "genius", but I really don't care) come from "The Lying Detective" (both said by Sherlock): _Taking your own life. Interesting expression. Taking it from who? Once it's over, it's not you who'll miss it. Your own death is something that happens to everybody else. Your life is not your own. Keep your hands off it._ _In saving my life she [Mary] conferred a value on it. It is a currency I do not know how to spend._
I’m not sure if it counts as a quote but I especially like. “There never was a dog” Just the sheer plot twist of it. The assumption that we have all held during the seasons. Just an amazing moment.
"Today, you sit between the woman you have made your wife and the man you have saved. In short, the two people who love you most in all this world. And I know I speak for Mary as well when I say we will never let you down, and we have a lifetime ahead to prove that. Now, on to some funny stories about John..."
Actually, what I really liked (LOVED!!) was the sentence before that. (Had to ggl & copy it, I just wasn’t giving it the flavor it deserved): “I'm afraid John, I can't congratulate you. All emotions and, in particular, love, stand opposed to the pure cold reason I hold above all things. A wedding is, in my considered opinion, nothing short of a celebration of all that is false and specious and irrational and sentimental in this ailing and morally compromised world. Today we honor the death watch people, that is the doom of our society and, in time one feels certain, our entire species.” The looks on everyone’s faces. I must have watched that speech (that episode) more times than any other (except for the very first). But it quickly became a fav that (surprisingly) did not contain Moriarty. 1)Love is a dangerous disadvantage, thank you for the final proof. 2)Sentiment is a chemical defect found on the loosing side. 3)Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. 4)Your death happens to other people. 5) The truth is rarely pure and never simple. Bonus: This is what it is.
My personal favourites - "Taking your own life.. Interesting expression taking it from who? Once it's over it's not you who will miss it. Your own death is something that happens to everyone else. Your life is not your own, keep your hands off it." - "You're not a puzzle solver, you never have been. You're a drama queen now theres a man in there who's about to die- *the game is on* solve it!" - "As ever Watson you see but do not observe. To you the world remains an impenetrable mystery whereas to me it is an open book, hard logic versus romantic whimsy, that is your choice. You fail to connect actions to their consequences. Now, for the last time, if you want to keep the rattle.. do not throw the rattle, hm?" - And then the mirrored quotes from the begging and end of the show which is amazing because it really shows how Sherlock's character has developed: "Sherlock Holmes is a great man. And I think one day, if we're very, very lucky, he might even be a good one." to "Well.. he's a great man sir." "No, he's better than that.. He's a good one." - "I'm Sherlock Holmes I wear the damn hat.. Isn't that right Mary?"
Watson had some great lines, too. A few that stand out in my mind: Upon first meeting Mycroft in a warehouse after a Byzantine abduction (A Study in Pink): JW: "Who are you?" MH: "He (Sherlock) would probably call me his archenemy. He does love to be dramatic." JW: "Well, thank God you're above all that. Or in "A Scandal in Belgravia", when Sherlock wants to fake a mugging in order to get access to Irene Adler: SH: "Punch me in the face." JW: "Punch you?" SH: "Yes, punch me. In the face. Didn't you hear me?" JW: "I always hear 'Punch me in the face' when you're speaking, but it's usually subtext." Or in "The Sign of Three", as Holmes rambles on during the wedding speech while stalling for time: JW: "Sherlock - any chance for an end date to this speech?"
"In a world with locked rooms the man with the key is king and honey you should see me in a crown" Sassiest line ever delievered in the sassiest and sexiest way ever
What about one of my favourite: "It's not the fall that kills you Sherlock. Of all people you should know that. It's not the fall, it's never the fall. It's the landing!
When life gets too strange, too impossible, too frightening, there is always one last hope. When all else fails, there are two men sitting, arguing in a scruffy flat , like they have always been there and they always will. The best and wisest men I have ever known, my Baker Street boys, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. -Mary Watson
(Not even close to my favorite but every one else put at least a couple of them) John: If anyone in the world still cares “I’m not actually gay” Irene: well I am.. and look at us both My Croft: I’ll be mother Sherlock: and theres our whole child hood in a nutshell John: here to see the queen (Mycroft walks in) Sherlock: ooh apparently yes Mycroft: can’t you 2 for once behave like grownups John: we solve crimes I blog about it and he forgets his pants I wouldn’t hold out too much hope
One of my favourites: When John asks Mycroft wether or not he trusts his own Secret Service and Mycroft answers: "Of course not. They all spy on people for money."
I really liked “I owe you” by moriarty, it was so iconic. Also “ms hudson, leave baker street? England would fall” as it is one of the first times he acknowledges and appreciates her help
I agree. Sherlock is a much better role for him and I wasn't that impressed with Dr Strange. The biggest appeal for me was Benedict himself . Definitely not worth walking away from Sherlock.
The joke is he is NOT a sociopath, high functioning or otherwise, and he knows better-that line was his camouflage and everybody except Lestrade fell for it.
Well those were good but I guess you should put the hole series in the video, 4 seasons, every episode, every second in Sherlock Holmes is a iconic quote.

I was about to say the same thing. The Lying Detective quote will stay with me for a long time. It is also the only quote that got me teared up
It's actually "intuition", not "intriguings"
I may be on the side of the angels but don't think do one second that I am one of them
ClueingForLooks Yup, you're spot on.
From the same episode:
"By saving my life, she (Mary) conferred a value on it. It is a currency I do not know how to spend."
They should have put Moriarty's line "That's what people DO!!!" because it gives you the exact idea of how dangerous Moriarty is.
Andrew Scott did that the same way in the audition, one of the producers mentioned, and it got their attention....lucky for us.
My favorite quotes (don't know if it qualifies as "genius", but I really don't care) come from "The Lying Detective" (both said by Sherlock):

"One more miracle, Sherlock, for me. Don't. Be. Dead."

Every Fairytale Needs a Good Old Fashion Villain
Space Race
You Should See Me In A Crown
My all time favorite Sherlock's quote
Actually in my own opinion every fairytale needs a good old fashioned hero/Detective too
*They come as a pair*
1)Love is a dangerous disadvantage, thank you for the final proof.
2)Sentiment is a chemical defect found on the loosing side.
3)Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.
4)Your death happens to other people.
5) The truth is rarely pure and never simple.
Bonus: This is what it is.
I'm a high functioning sociopath do your research lol classic
Your life is not your own - keep your hands off it.
"I don't shave for Sherlock. "
"You should put that on a t-shirt."
My personal favourites
- "Taking your own life.. Interesting expression taking it from who? Once it's over it's not you who will miss it. Your own death is something that happens to everyone else. Your life is not your own, keep your hands off it."
- "You're not a puzzle solver, you never have been. You're a drama queen now theres a man in there who's about to die- *the game is on* solve it!"
- "As ever Watson you see but do not observe. To you the world remains an impenetrable mystery whereas to me it is an open book, hard logic versus romantic whimsy, that is your choice. You fail to connect actions to their consequences. Now, for the last time, if you want to keep the rattle.. do not throw the rattle, hm?"
- And then the mirrored quotes from the begging and end of the show which is amazing because it really shows how Sherlock's character has developed:
"Sherlock Holmes is a great man. And I think one day, if we're very, very lucky, he might even be a good one."
to
"Well.. he's a great man sir." "No, he's better than that.. He's a good one."
- "I'm Sherlock Holmes I wear the damn hat..
Isn't that right Mary?"
where's "Come immediately if convenient
If inconvenient,come all the same"
Watson had some great lines, too. A few that stand out in my mind:
Upon first meeting Mycroft in a warehouse after a Byzantine abduction (A Study in Pink):
JW: "Who are you?"
MH: "He (Sherlock) would probably call me his archenemy. He does love to be dramatic."
JW: "Well, thank God you're above all that.
Or in "A Scandal in Belgravia", when Sherlock wants to fake a mugging in order to get access to Irene Adler:
SH: "Punch me in the face."
JW: "Punch you?"
SH: "Yes, punch me. In the face. Didn't you hear me?"
JW: "I always hear 'Punch me in the face' when you're speaking, but it's usually subtext."
Or in "The Sign of Three", as Holmes rambles on during the wedding speech while stalling for time:
JW: "Sherlock - any chance for an end date to this speech?"
Alone is all I have , alone protects me!
Sentiment is a chemical defect found on the losing side!
Where’s :” don’t be smart Sherlock I’m the smart one”?
The empty hearse.
"I'm dismissive of the virtuous, unaware of the beautiful and uncomprehending in the face of the happy!" One of the best.
"In a world with locked rooms the man with the key is king and honey you should see me in a crown"
Sassiest line ever delievered in the sassiest and sexiest way ever
What about "I am sherlocked"??
not a quote, just a password
what about "shut up" "i didn't say anything" "you're thinking, it's annoying"
best quote in the show
That line is hilarious 😂
I love Sherlock’s face when John calls him a drama queen
What about one of my favourite: "It's not the fall that kills you Sherlock. Of all people you should know that. It's not the fall, it's never the fall. It's the landing!
“Punch me in the face didn’t your hear me?” -Sherlock
“I hear punch me in the face every time you speak but it’s usually subtext” -John
Vatican Cameos should be on this list. IT'S.I.CO.NIC.
Yes
It
Is
"I'm not a psychopath, I'm a high-functioning sociopath"
Story of my life let's be honest
(Not even close to my favorite but every one else put at least a couple of them)
John: If anyone in the world still cares “I’m not actually gay”
Irene: well I am.. and look at us both
My Croft: I’ll be mother
Sherlock: and theres our whole child hood in a nutshell
John: here to see the queen
(Mycroft walks in)
Sherlock: ooh apparently yes
Mycroft: can’t you 2 for once behave like grownups
John: we solve crimes I blog about it and he forgets his pants I wouldn’t hold out too much hope
I see butternut crinklefry, I hit like!!!
ayushi you spelled it wrong, I believe it’s spelled beaniebag cucumberpatch
Ellie Russo you both actually spelled it wrong, it's benedaddy cumberstraw
nope! it's benadryl cubbyhole
Y’ALL I CANT BREATHE
"I don't understand"
-"U should put that on a tshirt"
.
.
.
.
.
"I still don't understand"
-"and there is the back of the tshirt"😂😂
One of my favourites: When John asks Mycroft wether or not he trusts his own Secret Service and Mycroft answers: "Of course not. They all spy on people for money."
"I'm not your housekeeper"
*LMAO*
Love when she says that...repeatedly. 😁
AHAHAHAHAHHA
I love Mrs Hudson 🥰
When John says that Sherlock is a drama queen, he looks so offended 😂
I really liked “I owe you” by moriarty, it was so iconic. Also “ms hudson, leave baker street? England would fall” as it is one of the first times he acknowledges and appreciates her help
SH- "Is that why you're calling yourself Greg?!"
JW- "That's his name."
SH- "Really?"
GL- "Yes."
My favorite line is still John's: "She taught me to be the man she already thought I was. Get yourself a piece of that."
We are living in a world where benedict is asked to play doctor strange rather than the Sherlock.
That's sad!
What do you mean?
What are you talking about? He plays both
*where
I agree. Sherlock is a much better role for him and I wasn't that impressed with Dr Strange. The biggest appeal for me was Benedict himself . Definitely not worth walking away from Sherlock.
"This is your heart, and you should never let it rule your head." The episode with Irene Adler is literal art, especially the end with Mycroft!
“If making making people feel small was a *national* sport, Sherlock would be the *world* champion.”
What?
it's the joke, if there was a competition nationally he would win it world-wide.
The offended/outraged face Sherlock does when John calls him a drama queen gets me every time. It’s hilarious. 😂
The joke is he is NOT a sociopath, high functioning or otherwise, and he knows better-that line was his camouflage and everybody except Lestrade fell for it.
Yes, because Steven Moffat stated this in an interview too.
"He is not a sociopath. He would like to be one, but he isn't. Noone can define himself."
Doesn't John refer to him as having Asberger's at one stage? I can't remember exactly where, but I remember thinking that John nailed it.
Baskerville episode
I'm sooo changeable !!! JM
literally every line from that scene is iconic
What about ''I'm not gay''!
Honourable mention: Everything Moriarty says.
"IM NOT GAY!" -Dr. John Watson
"You were a doctor" "I HAD BAD DAYS!"
But the most genius quote is obviously "Sherlock it's actually a girl's name". This list is so wrong.
@@chiyoudan3351 S3E3
that's just sherlocks language it actually translates to "i'm madly in love with you" :)
Yes we missed you! Thank you for sharing and as always enjoy Sherlock Quotes!
This Top Ten did not do the show justice AT ALL!!!
You need a top 100 or smthn
"Heroes don’t exist John. And if they did i wouldn’t be one of them"
this is one of my most favourite one
'hand me your revolver, I have a sudden need to use it.'
This one stuck with me the most: "Your own death is something that happens to everyone else."
Well those were good but I guess you should put the hole series in the video, 4 seasons, every episode, every second in Sherlock Holmes is a iconic quote.
I am Sherlock Holmes and I wear the damn hat
Isn't that right Mary ☺️
I have 3 more
"I'm your landlady dear, not your housekeeper"
"I may be on the side of the angels but don't think for one second that I am one of them"
"It is what it is"
I miss this show so much
“Oh please do your research I’m not a hero I’m a high functioning sociopath.. MERRY CHRISTMAS !”
Where is"When uve eliminated all the impossibilities.. whatever remains however improbable must be the truth"?
My favourite are
Honey you shold see me in a crown
Every fairytail needs a good old fashioned villain
People have died. That's what people do!!!
Obviosly
It's not our division
I don't have friend. I have only 1
But if you think about there a ton of other great quotes from the whole series that its fans can't help but memorize the whole speeches/scripts
Where's "your life is not your own,get your hands off it!"
That was the one quote that has been with me every single day sincw I watched the episode "the lying detective". Being a suicidal, that really gets into me
My favs:
- I may be on the side of the angels, but don't think for one second that I am one of them
- Sentiment is a chemical defect found on a loosing side
- Anderson, don't talk out loud, you lower the IQ of whole street
- I don't have friends, I've just got one
- The game, mrs Hudson, is on!
“In saving my life she conferred a value on it. It is a currency I do not know how to spend.”
"In a room of locked doors the man with the key is king. And honey you should see me in a crown" ~ Moriarty
Where the hell is "god is a ludicrous fiction dreamt up by inadequates who abnegate all responsibility to an invisible magic Friend"?!
I hope there will be an seson 5
Amarizo I think they are way too busy! They have the MARVEL films to make both Doctor Strange 2 and Black Panther 2 so I don’t think that a season five will be done
The writers did confirm ther will be a season 5 in 2022 (I think)
@@keeslover777 I hope, hope, HOPE that you're right
None of the people involved are ready to put Sherlock to bed. They've all said there will be more, just a matter of when.
Looove Sherlock!
