Dear Mary - I love your videos. My mother had dementia for the past 5 years and passed away in March. For the last months, while I helped her at mealtime, we would watch your videos. Even though she wasn't able to talk, she loved watching them / you. Many good things can be said about my mom, but she was a "worker" and loved to improve her environment with what she had available. The music and your tone was very soothing and your videos are a part of my sweet memories with my mother. Thank you!
I just love that you just walk out in your yard and come back to put together a beautiful and simple arrangement that looks so good! Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see the inside tour!!
Mary, your porch turned out absolutely amazing, how you used natural elements from outside your home and make it work, you always amaze me on how you make everything look great by not purchasing anything, have great Thanksgiving.
You must be doing really well with your many adventures. To put such an expensive tree, that most of us can only dream of, but never afford, out on your porch shows how far you've come. You're a classic rags to riches story. As the country goes deeper in to the recession, soon to be depression, I hope the old humble Mary will resurface and show more compassion for the less fortunate. That being said, congrats on doing so well. Dreams really do come true! God bless you Mary for the joy you bring to so many.
First time for your videos… I LOVE your natural simplicity. Not over done with junk made out of tuna cans or pool noodles! Your decor is organic and beautiful!
Your porch looks beautiful Mary! You have a great eye for decorating. It makes you want to curl up on the porch swing with a warm cup of coffee and your kitty in your lap.
Just had to comment. The idea to consider the view from sitting inside is so important. You will enjoy looking at the natural, cozy, but simple elements you have chosen. Thanks for sharing!
Love how you incorporate nature into your decorating. Decorating on a budget. Hope YOU are having a wonderful day as you always make your viewers have a wonderful day after watching your videos!
The garland framing the swing is my favorite! So pretty! 🤩 And the swag on the door. Love that look! And the simple tree branch in the crock on the chair. Love the whole vibe! 👍🏻
Chuckled a hit when you said, "The last time for morning glory wall. I know you are experienced...those seeds are considered noxious weeds. I love them; and put up with their prolific growth. I love your projects. You inspire me as a prov31 lady.
Mary, I really enjoy your videos. (I watch you on our tv and now have my husband hooked too.) I’ve noticed you’re becoming more relaxed in your introductions and closing statements. It sounds like you’re talking to your friends. Love that!
Very simple touches but wow-it’s such a wonderful transformation. It just looks like a little Christmas cottage with warm cider inside every day in December. Beautiful. I loved the trick with the evergreen sprigs in the large white pot. Love it all
Oh my goodness I've seen a commercial for this outdoor cleaner and I got a chance to use it on my decking outdoor furniture and it worked so good, all the green mildew disappeared in no time love it and I let my granddaughter use it also on a door, I definitely recommend, love your ideas you're so gifted, may you continue to inspire us as God continue to bless and use you, I look forward to your videos
Looks beautiful, cozy and welcoming, Mary! The only thing that would make this better...would be the chance to sit down there with a warm drink and your company!
Mary the Lord really blessed you with lots of talents. I have learned so much from u. Everything looks so simple to do and now I can do this too. I too have Christmas 🎄 on my property. Oh, by the way
So beautiful. Ohio is such a pretty state..I was raised there, now, living in Florida I miss the winters. The snow and trees are so beautiful. All of the natural finishes and tree trimming are so pretty!
Sad to see you get rid of the morning glories, they are so beautiful! LOVE all the natural elements that you used. Hate when I see fake pinecones for sale when everyone used to go out and collect them. WOW!! This came out beautiful!!! So cozy!
Mary I don’t ever dry (polish) my windows or mirrors I just use the polish cloth to clean and have never had streaks etc. TFS I love your channel. Many blessings from California💕🌴🌞👍🏻
Ohh, I enjoyed every second of his video! The red plaid is the perfect touch tying in the berries and Christmas cheer! You shared so many great ideas, Mary! Thank you for always being such a ray of brightness and hope, good friend❣️💚❣️
I agree, we hope to see a video of you and your family enjoying the crisp winter air. I think your gas fire pit would be great addition again this year. Thank you for showing us how to make a garland.
Mary you are so talented. I just love how you decorate .I think your Christmas decorations are my favorite. May the Lord be with you and your family these holidays. Always enjoy your videos.
You did a wonderful job decorating for the winter season. I would love to sit out there on the swing with a mug of hot chocolate and just admire the beauty of it. I am a lover of nature and the real greenery is just the thing for me! I also love the old crocks and how you put them to use. I just love it all!!!!!!
Oh Mary I just love love love what you’ve done with your porch!! You do such an amazing job!! I love how you use what you have around you!! You have giving me such inspiration to do my porch!! ❤
👋Marylen how are you today and I hope this message meets you in good health? I believe in the saying that you can't meet better people if you don't meet strangers. I admire your profile very much and it will be great to have you as a friend please can we be friend?. Thank you and remain blessed 🙏
Thank you, I'm inspired to do something on my front porch. Trust me Mary, those Morning Glory's will come back next year. I found them quite invasive (for years). You should plant pole beans in their place next year, how fun would it be to go out and pick beans for dinner. Your porch is beautiful. When I tell my husband about something you do I always say... "My friend Mary...." he knows who I'm talking about now. 🙂 Thank you for your continued inspiration.

SO Christmassy Mary , it looks so cosy , and all your hard work and splendid ideas , thank you for you Mary , nice to see your neice and one of the fur babies
I love the entire porch and its all natural theme. Ive seen more people doing the natural branches in dirt and they last as long or longer than a cut Christmas tree does. We did retire high desert and many pines etc. around us. We dont have any in our yard but I may be able to beg a few branches off neighbors. I may buy a couple potted mini fir trees as I can replant them. Being older we had not done much especially since we bought an extreme fixer! Yep we did that at old age so decorating hasnt been a total forethought in and out for most of last 5 years but we are getting inspired now with only some back yard landscaping needing done. We are even going hang lights in front. Bought 2 small prelit trees for 2 big porch pots at front door step I change up seasonally. We dont have a porch just 3 large brick step ups but we angled out the top corner of yard with river stones to put a bench and large pot on drip system there. The front yard faces East and goes into shade. We cant sit on our covered back porch in afternoon with west sun set and temps 105 for 3 months in the summer! I have large heavenly bamboo in that pot and it gets red berries in winter. Have several around the yard. They tolerate heat and cold. We are at 4,000 feet. It snows one week here but really cold for a couple months. Sages do well too so I have lavendar and Rosemary. So hard to figure out what wont die with extremes. But I was just picturing looking at your porch doing more to that corner too. I may put a Christmas type sign or wreat leaning on the bench. Maybe some other potted Fir trees. Or a silk poinsettia! .Im moving from only sewing to crafting now. Still practicing my painting skills!
Hey Mary! The porch looks great, and you didn't have to buy anything, cause you had it all right there in the yard! Stay safe, and tfs! Much 💚, Dorothy
Mary, you always do a fabulous job! Hands of gold! It is with much love and respect that I want you to know that the name of the plants that come back every year is perennials and not pre-annuals. Being a gardener and perennials specialist, I want to share that correction. 💝
It all came out picture-perfect! We also got rid of our cushioned outdoor furniture as keeping it dry in Alaska was a never-ending battle. My hubby built Adirondack style benches with 2x4s based on some I saw on Old World Garden Farm's blog. They've served us well for a few years now and we leave them out year-round. I just add outdoor throw pillows in the summer and can toss them in the wash if they get dirty.
I love all your touches with the spruce and pine branches. It looks so cozy and inviting. You need to grab a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle up on the swing!!
👏🏼You did a beautiful conservative job. I was looking for ideas for a wintery porch and you gave me some. I have always love setting the scene. Thank You
May I give you a Little Tip? When you plant your Morning Glory Seeds, plant an equal amount of Moon Flower with them. During the day you have the beautiful Blue Flowers and at night you have the luminous White blooms of the Moon Flowers. It puts on a feast for the eyes. Hope you will try it this next year. God Bless, Cathleen
I'm doing what comes easy this year with decor. It doesn't matter if I use every decor piece I own or not as long as the house looks festive. I love decorating my foyer tables and mantles and adding white feather boas to give things that snowy, wintery effect.
Hi Mary! I love how the porche turned out. So natural, serene, with greenery, touches of red, 👌😍. I really enjoyed watching your video feeling so calm & relaxed. You bring me always peace & inspiration. Bravo! 👏👏😘😘💜💙🌺✨️🔔

You must be the hardest working woman on UA-cam. Your energy never ceases to amaze me. Great job!
I love how you always have a random kitty helping you.

We are still having tornadoes in the south so the most I can do is drool over the beauty you can create.

Oh my goodness, you have the best natural elements. Everything always looks so nice! We had Morning glories once…😂….never again!
Very simple touches but wow-it’s such a wonderful transformation. It just looks like a little Christmas cottage with warm cider inside every day in December. Beautiful. I loved the trick with the evergreen sprigs in the large white pot. Love it all
I love the way you stop to pet the cat. Too cute. Love your simple, pretty porch.

Oh Mary, I wish I had even a quarter of your energy and vision. Your work is just amazing!
I absolutely love that weathered stump that you use on your porch now in your decor. I really want to try and find one like that!
I was thinking the same thing!!
Love it
I just texted my friend a picture of it and said I want a log side table. ❤
Looks beautiful, cozy and welcoming, Mary! The only thing that would make this better...would be the chance to sit down there with a warm drink and your company!
Your simplicity still has a WOW factor
Morning glories are a pain, I’m all for simple these days. Love the videos!

Mary, I have made my own garland for at least 30 years. Yours looks so beautiful.
The porch is beautiful. I just love how you can cut a few branches and make your decorations. The artificial ones are so expensive.
Hey Mary! The porch looks great, and you didn't have to buy anything, cause you had it all right there in the yard! Stay safe, and tfs! Much 💚, Dorothy
