never thought of the tool bag in the sink!! i had the same issue with the rings moving around but made it work somehow. next time I will put my tool bag in the sink. sometimes the tenants leave a mess for your though.

I use the old g/d to hold it down.. also insinkerator makes a tool to hold the ring open for easy fitting.

It's nice when you no longer have to replace the drain itself and just the disposal when needed, only they don't come with power cords via HDSupply so I always have to rewire the old one. Good video as always man!

My garbage disposer's locked up as well.
Spray some wd-40 in there & try to break it loose with a screwdriver or a plunger handle. If it wont break free, then it's time for a new one. Thank you so much for watching Fan!
I haven’t seen that tool to unlock the disposal I usually use the wrench it comes with on the bottom, I’ll have to check it out thanks

Good job lex when I get that T Handle wrench I usually drill out the pop rivets out & put a hard case bolt in it it will never snap

I also run a high pressure check for leaks....plug disposal side fill with water...run pull the plug and plug other side. A good pressure wash of the drain lines. Give it the Ol' Gundy Lex!

When I attach the disposal to the sink bracket I lube up the rubber gasket/splash shield with a little dish soap, it goes in easier , for me anyway !

Asked a cust because he was hovering to push down on top of g/d strainer so I could slip the ring on and idiot said if he was going to get a discount for this and was serious, I told not to bother, charged him more and left the Insinkerator logo askew because I new he was very anal about everything. Cheap customers are suffocating most of the time, got paid told him to lose my number.

Instead of putting your toolbag in the sink, why not the old or new disposal to hold the flange down?
W/O Resident says Garbage disposal not working, *Goes to unit, reset disposal* leaves W/O copy. 2 days later W/O Resident says Garbage disposal not working. *Goes again and find fish pebbles write note in W/O replacement is $90. RESIDENT BLAMES ME FOR FISH PEBBLES In garbage disposal.......

Lex Vance if only it wasn't illegal to strangle Residents..
we have 3 strikes rule.... tenant clogs it 3 times and we find they caused it we take it out and put regular trap...i am close to getting management to take them all out...
I got them Badger GD, they last pretty long, that is if they are not throwing plastic bones & little pebbles from fish tanks.

i just installed 54 lithium smoke/co combos few months back....10 went bad within 2 weeks. i must have gotten a bad batch...even bulk order from HD supply was still around 35$ a piece
