I can like and even love an original character like this one. Now she was a very creative choice. Great job Arpy.
I hope you like this story Arpy. Gregor Greyhoof was born to some unusual parents. His father Gran Greyhoof was a famous Centaur Bard n Story telling who had the singing voice of an angel. He met Gregor's mother Rusha the mighty who was a powerful Goliath warrior, wise chief of her people and already a widow with several children. They both fell in love and got married with many in the tribe at first opposed to the marriage. But Gran leveraged his singing and story-telling abilities to win favor. Gregor was born before the marriage reached it's first year. Eventually a few more children would follow. Gregor would essentially be the middle child of the family. And often looked down upon for being half-centaur. But his family was good to him none more than Gregor's half-sister Dagmar who would one day become known as "The Orcslayer." Gregor spent much of his childhood admiring his older Half-Sister and training to be a warrior just like her. Although his father had really hope that his son would become a story-teller n bard like he was. Since Gregor had a real talent for singing n story-telling. Before entering his teens Gregor watched his half-Sister now a fully grown woman go off to war. Gregor quickly followed her. He eventually caught up to Dagmar and quickly became her assistant n trust confident throughout the war Dagmar fought for glory. Gregor watch n reveled in his Half-Sister's triumphs and helped comfort her when she was defeated. He was indispensable to her. Gregor would be present when Dagmar was hailed as the Orcslayer. He was also present when she discovered her holy n healing magic. He also heard her when she renounced war for all time. Something Gregor found shocking and he opposed it at first. But in a kind sisterly way Dagmar pointed out all the pain n suffering she had caused and the guilt n regret she felt over helping to cause it. She wanted to help save people for now on not take anymore lives. Gregor reluctantly accepted. He vowed to follow his beloved sister. But upon trying to become a cleric he was encouraged to go and become a Paladin instead. Dagmar even encouraged it and Gregor joined the Paladins and spent his whole teen years training hard to become one. He even mastered magical spelled n abilities the helped greatly boost comrades on and off the battlefield. When Gregor became an adult he had grown to a gigantic size with huge muscles. He was a mountain of strength n supportive gentleness. He was considered a formidable warrior but a kind n considerate one too. He would spend the first few years as a Paladin helping to defend normal people from those who would victimize them in one way or another and would become very famous for it. He also dazzled those around him by his ability to sing wonderful songs. Making many a woman swoon for him. Eventually Dagmar would come back into his life and introduce Camilla Darkmoon to him. Upon seeing her Gregor thought he was looking at the most glorious creature that ever walked the face of the land. He felt something very mighty n powerful feelings for Camilla. Camilla in turned seemed to be feeling much the same romantic feelings. Only Dagmar didn't notice as she asked her half-brother to become her favorite apprentices bodyguard n protector. It wasn't uncommon for clerics to have Paladin bodyguards. And for a longtime Camilla with Gregor in tow traveled the land being a beacon of peace n wisdom. With Gregor providing a protective n intimidating presence against anyone who might do Camilla any harm. All the while romantic tension crackled between them like lightening. He would be present when Camilla became known as Saint Camilla especially revealing in how proud he was of her. He even sang a song honoring her. And discovering that of all the women present Camilla was swooning most of all. Made a huge impression on Gregor. Later and in private their romantic tension spilled over into a romantic kiss that seemed to last an eternity. And the both became lovers. But in secret. They couldn't flaunt their feelings for each other in the open. And so these two lovers would play their respective roles as Saint n Bodyguard for awhile revealing in the secrecy of it all. Then as a meeting for religious leaders attended by Camilla, Gregor while waiting for his mistress encountered Sasha Williams aka the Bone Witch, looking for her sister Camilla. Sasha had seen Camilla and was desperately trying to find her to get to her. Gregor got in her way. He didn't know her. But he seemed to sense danger from her. He felt the need to protect Camilla both as her bodyguard n secret boyfriend. Sasha tried to explain her situation to him. But it made no difference. He kept her away. Then the goliath centaur noticed Sasha's bones. This triggered alarm bells in his head and leapt to attack Sasha. She at the last minute replaced herself out with a large bone with a piece of paper that had a symbol on it, by using a magic spell. A lot like an Anime Ninja would but with a giant bone instead of a log. A few skeleton's appeared but Gregor dispatched them easily enough with his sword. And with that Sasha Williams was gone. Much like a ghost. But something nagged at Gregor. As he attacked Sasha he didn't sense any malice or ill-intentions from her. Only fear n desperation. He wondered if he had done the right thing. He had his doubts. Gregor eventually found Camilla with the religious meeting over. The Saint had received a letter. Opened it. And opened her mouth in total shock n horror. Gregor noticed this and felt a deep chill go down his spine. And when Camilla explained that he sister was in grave danger. Gregor's trepidation only got worse. He shouted some explanative. Then he recounted his encounter with Sasha and Camilla's sense of horror appeared to deepen. She also looked upon Gregor with anger basically saying "How could you do that." In which Gregor gave no reply. But now felt deep shame over his actions. He begged Camilla for forgiveness. Only for her to reply "Help, me find my sister." But they failed to find her. They however did hear shortly afterwards that a Litch Queen was going on a rampage near Sasha home territory raising a huge army of the undead to take over the world. They knew this was Sasha's doing. And they knew why she was doing it. And so the two of them set off try to n stop Sasha aka the Litch Queen and maybe save her too. And that's the story.
