@@FreshRevivethat's true. It can be hard to find a really a good barber though. But when you do find her/him stick to it. I've had long hair as long as I can remember but I used to think longer than shoulder length wouldn't suit me. I found a really skillful barber and she cut it so well last time it has been nearly 1,5 yrs I've seen scissors 😂. It's all about the cut, it really is. If it's cut well you can grow it from there to almost whatever length you like. Cheers mate and thanks for the video.

I started washing my hair with only water. At the start it felt awful. I couldn't handle it for more than a week. After the second week though everything changed! Now if for some reason I have to wash my hair (worked on the car, DIY at home etc) I feel awful. My hair feels exhausted. After 2 days everything normalize. I also use homemade salt spray with a bit of argan oil after the shower. I wash my hair with water daily. I believe that the salt from the spray acts as a trap for the grease which is easily then washed with just water. I have never felt my hair better. I do not use any conditioner and it's smooth and alive.

I haven't used shampoo or conditioner for 4 months, here's how it went:
Month 1: greasy asl. But this was during the summer, so it didn't really matter much. Dandruff really acting up
Month 2. The itching and dandruff started going away, scalp was less dry.
Month 3: all i have to do is run my hair through good old cold water (hot water damages hair), and my hair looks healthier than ever.
Month 4: no itching, no dandruff, no flakes, just clean healthy hair. I still wash my hair with just water every day to clean out impurities.
**all months after this point are edits I make to show my hair progression**
Month 5: I have started to use shikakai (a natural herb) powder mixed with other natural herbs. The powder includes hibiscus which induces a foaming effect when mixed with water so it acts somewhat like a shampoo (except less foam and less dry). This seems to be working well so far.
    **edits end here**
Overall, it seems that my hair doesnt need shampoo and for the guys who are using shampoo, i would advise slowly quitting because your hair's only going to be greasy for a couple months, but after that your hair will look healthier than ever.

Just let it grow long and once you like the length go to a barber that knows how to cut long hair and understands layering. I recommend female barbers. Also when you have thin hair try to style it when it’s still a bit wet that way it often is easier to style and it looks thicker aswell.

    "visit your barber regularly..."
Damn, that woman cut off 8 centimeters off of my fringe, it was like one or two centimeters long after that.
I would NEVER go to any barber anymore and since then I cut my own hair basically and yeah, I mess it up, but I never mess up the way they do. T-T I literally said "I want to keep the length but if you have any ideas in your mind, then it's okay".
I had to wear a hood for like half a year because her cut was so bad that I had to go to another one to fix it. If I say to only cut just a LITTLE, then why they cannot keep it that way. The shape was okay, her job was to clear the dead ends. I felt SO awful, you can't imagine. All of my confidence were in my hair because it just make my face so good that I finally started to love myself and I lost that in a half of a hour. I worked so much back then to finally like myself and the mere fact that she ruined it, it destroyed me.
My cutting is also awful and I was also cutting way more, but I don't have to wait half of a year after that. Surely I need to wait v2 or 3 months to get back my original hair length. (Originally I didn't want to cut my hair length, my father messed up on the back of my head, I was asking him to pull over the razor gently with the 34 milimeters head, but GENTLY. He never put on that head and he erased half of my head from down to mid, so I felt myself ugly everyday and it began to mock me, so I'm was cutting my fringe so I can find a way to fix the big picture. It turned into a "stress cutting". At some point it was all my fault, but it was way too cruel. So I need 2 or 3 centimeters to look good again and I need 6 or 7 centimeters so it may look the same as before)
