With snap on scopes you need to zoom way in in order to increase the sample rate then you can pause it and zoom out to see the details of your CMP/CKP . There’s a term with oscilloscopes called “aliasing” and it happens when you zoom out to a slower time base and there isn’t enough sample points to capture the details of the signal. Snap on scopes have a comparatively lower sample rate so in order to get the most detail you have to zoom to lets say a 20mS sweep to get a good view of the CPK sensor . Then you would stop the recording and zoom out to get your CMP sensors and and CPK in a view that you’re ok with to verify their synchronization.
Good comment sir.
Question in your personal opinion wich osiloscope is better pico or snap on I just trying to see so I can decide I don’t know anything about osiloscope but i heard osiloscope are good tool .
Thanks
@@jordysandino6577 pico hands down I have a Pico and it has so much more to offer then the snap on scope .
Picoscope is a great scope to have.
@@jordysandino6577pico is a far better scope, but it won't do all the other stuff the snap on does.
I SEE NOW CLEARLY ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, SNAP-ON SCOPES ARE NOWHERE AS GOOD AS PICO . CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW HAND HELD TWO CHANNEL PICO TO HIT THE MARKET !!!!!!!!
@@8power0 Picoscope is a great scope to have.
Great video Mr. Rios 👍
Great video thank you
Bonito video primo .
Me sirve para aprender.
Me gustaría ver que nos explique en pico osiloscopio primo .
Gracias
@@jordysandino6577 los proximos videos voy a utilizar un picoscope.
Watching it again you really are great teacher. Details details. Love this channel 👊🏻👍🏻
First 🥇 . More importantly thanks for sharing your time and knowledge with this tremendous video ! Have a great weekend mate . 👊🏼 🔥
I'm a beginner to the field of auto electrical and I Love the way you broke it down for all to understand. Thank you so much for this. I do have 1 question, where can we find wiring diagrams like the one you used in the video?
@@d.fordphotography4646 Alldatapro, Prodemand, Shopkeypro, or Identifix.
Thank you for your explanations:)
Also There is possiblity to use the cycle duty mode of the multimeter to see the signal.
Good video sir .
Question
Can the vehicle start and run without ckp? Is that normal?
Yes it can. The PCM will reference the CMP to synchronize fuel delivery and spark, but it will take a long crank before it starts.
I've seen that on Chevrolet utility doing that 👍
Can start without ckp?
Thank you sir
In most vehicles today, the car will start without a CKP. The PCM will reference the CMP to synchronize fuel delivery, but it will take a long crank before it starts.
Excellent tutorial. I'm a DIY guy. This complete explanation from the wiring diagram to the testing procedure is very helpful. I was able to follow the process and understand it completely.
Glad it helped
Enjoy your weekend with all your family around you, MR DIAGNOSTECH
