I love the way Donald interprets the music so freely from each horn he chooses to play. Never over blows the limits of the horn he selects, he truly is an artist for out time. Thank you Donald
Wow I was thinking on Sunday of how cool it would be to look at a documentary of Donald Hayes. He is my #1 favorite saxophone artist! He inspired me to learn. Wow. Thanks for upload. #GB
I’m so glad you did a feature on this guy. He’s soo talented. I discovered him on UA-cam in 2012 and watched like, every video, back to his days in Memphis. I have a Pandora channel based on Donald Hayes and the Quiet Time Players. That snippet from the Presbyterian Church is what got me hooked. I’m so glad to see someone else thinks he should be a household name!
Yes, he is AMAZING, Thank You for watching it! He is a good friend of mine, and I have seen many of his shows! I even played with him on percussion. (And the church was COGIC). Here is more from him that I shot: ua-cam.com/video/-GjTDiByWN4/v-deo.html
All I can say "You are a BAD MAN." Anybody who can't feel this needs to make them a Monday Morning doctors appointment. I have heard some of the best jazz saxophone players in the business from Walter Beasley, Gerald Albright, Kennny G. without a shadow of a doubt Mr. Donald Hayes makes my top ten list.
By far my favorite modern sax player. This man can lay down a melody like nobody else and makes the alto sound as big as a tenor.

One of the best out there. I just found Mr . Hayes on u tube. Great musician and under rated to be such a great saxophonist.
I love Front Ground! It is amazing and awesome! Donald did an outstanding job! I pray this CD surpasses your expectations Donald! Blessings
I agree with Kirk's comments....Great Sound and feel....Fantastic!

The first time I heard Donald was years ago at a gospel event in Oakland Ca. He was killing' it then and is still killin'.
