Thank you for your reply. I'm not new to Scalextric but have only dabbled up to now, I've also just cut some single D straights as per your video for pit lane etc, all went really well, and surprisingly easy after watching your good self.
Regards
Kevin
Loosen the body screws on the car half a turn to give the car a bit of body float. This will help with the cornering of the car in the turns.
Awesome! Thank you 😀. I will have to try this at some point.
Have you converted a 1990s F1 car to digital, have you a video showing the conversion please. Regards Kevin
Hi Kevin, not yet, but I've just acquired a box full if them so watch this space!
Excellent video. Subscribed. Would love to see it done with a Carrera digital chip being fitted into a scalextric analogue car as have a few of them and am setting up a Carrera digital track. 😎🇦🇺👍
Thanks. I've used the Scalextric chip as I only have a Scalextric set. I don't know whether the Carrera chip works with Scalextric, but if the pinout of the chip is known it should be a reasonably simple job. The key with this car is the chassis webs and the location of the IR bulb.
Great to watch very helpful. What size is the Plug Wire Adapter?
Hi Jon, its a JST 1.25mm 4 pin. More info at 10:55.
Great video mate! Is it possible to digitalize these cars with the F1 retro chip as well?
Thanks. Yes, I'm using the DPR chip for F1 cars in this video.
I was wondering the same thing ... is the F1 retro chip larger than the F1 digital plug?
@@edteach3r I'd say it was about the same size.
@@FAWRailsandSlots : Perfect. Thank you!
Thank you for your video. I converted one LMP cars successfully, but I got a problem in a second one. When I place the car on the track, the car starts buzzing is it has never been converted. I thought it was the chip, so I bought a new chip, but it does the same buzzing noise with the second chip as well. Would you have any suggestions on what the problem is? One thing I notice is that the chip becomes quite hot.
Hi Guillermo, it could be either a short-circuit, incorrect wiring (check colours) or a dodgy chip. Unplug the chip and check all the wiring with a multimeter.
@@FAWRailsandSlots Thank you, I will check wit the multimeter. Good idea. I used the same colours as the previous car. Both of them came on the same set, so I guessed they should be the same
where can I get the 3D Digital chip holder.

Don't have a 3d printer, next ?
I can supply the 3d printed part you need. My email is fawrailsandslots@gmail.com.
You are using the wrong chip for that car
What is the right chip?
