Not only have they most likely haven't seen any movie referenced in Scary Movie, it's almost obvious they're oblivious to all classic the horror movie tropes laced in this movie

Nah Wayans brothers are GOATed for making this movie...Hollywood nowadays cant make stuff like that no more...i watched it as i kid and didnt understand half of it, yet til this day its one of my most memorable comedy/parody movie!
I believe that if Hollywood gets the right person it'd be fine. Movies like this are so over the top, that you can tell it's a joke and you shouldn't take anything serious. At least that's what I'd hope
meh number 2 is better than this and the original scary movie parody in production before this: Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th is pretty enjoyable.. all shortys scenes are worth coming back for in this movie

What makes stuff like this work is that it it is actual parody
too many modern movies like these just rely on the “see it’s kung fu panda, that’s the joke” kind of humor
where the reference alone is the joke
whereas the Wayans managed to have an actual script and actually utilized the jokes in their own way
so you can tell what they’re referencing, but also added their own flare and something of substance to it.
They literally can make this movie today, and they do make movies like this. Smdh 🙄

Idk if y’all knew but these movies basically parody a bunch of popular horror movies of the last few decades so a lot of the scenes mirror the ones from the horror movies just in a funny way.

this movie is a parody of horror movies, like "scream" and "i know what you did last summer", among others. if you haven't watched them, you might think this movie is a bit random. but its supposed to be a parody/satire of the horror movie genre

them seem thankful but there was this one beggar who actually refused the food and insisted on getting some money instead. he said "i don't want your food because that'll spoil." i said i just bought it and he could eat it within the day at most. he said he doesn't like burgers and he'd prefer money instead. i said, "okay" and left.

I hope they don't take the plot seriously like many do. Yes it's about a drama happening on a plane but still should be seen just like Scary Movie - parodying constantly. The thing is even during the comedy the actors act dry and serious (though the writers clearly don't), which seems to confuse some reactors.

It wouldn't work in this film, but I've thought long and hard about iterating on "The Climax" scene. In a different film, imagine him flying around the room like a balloon you let the air our of. Another idea, which only works while standing, is the person has his pelvis fly back hard enough to knock his head on the floor. Not unlike the anime cliché of hitting the floor in one frame.
