Drummers: Running backing tracks in a live performance + monitoring sound

This video details using the Alesis Strike Multipad to run backing tracks on stage, as well as using the Xenyx 802 personal mixer to monitor your sound.

Hi There. I’ve been reading that the kits take a long time to load on the alesis, so it’s hard to transition between songs/tracks quickly, what’s ure experience with that live?

Hi! I haven’t had issues cycling between kits during shows. I’ll hit the pad to load the next kit, and it’s instantly there.
If you’re uploading an entire setlist worth of kits via USB, it could take a couple minutes. But, once everything is loaded, I haven’t had runtime issues.

How do you get the audio from laptop to the multipad?

I bounce the mix to a USB thumb drive, then plug that into the multipad

@@LifegiverPDou that’s a good question! I don’t know if the Alesis supports that, but the Roland might. I’ll try a direct connection next week & try that
