FYI after 700 stacks of malestrom, you consume no ammo while your storm weaving is active. Guns will continue to fire when empty as long as you have ammo in your ammo pool and you do something like +280% elemental damage bonus.
citizen119 you gotta spam vladof shock grenades though otherwise your stacks decay, always good with the vladof airborne kit with free grenade chance
I really like this build it combines aspects of her elemental and melee builds into one. Great guide.

Claptrap build would be sweet. Especially with gameplay in the new dlc.
He has a reason for not making one and that is the most builds heart is the actions skill and claptraps is to unpredictable and can simply give you the wrong thing and just ignore all current great things you got going because you're bouncing around and can't hit your enemy

I would like to see Claptrap next. An Audacious Sapper build with a nice 8mag Ravager was the most fun thing for me in the presequel so far.
here's a little tip for anyone wanting to exp. farm in BL TPS, get a glitch weapon with a chance to get L (yellow glitch), got to the infinite wraith spawner (the pokemon easter egg mission), get the yellow glitch and oull the trigger, you can then just let the game be (because if you kill anything with the yellow glitch, you regain a portion of your ammo), WARNING: if you let consoles alone for too long, they'll crash
anything with enough ammo can pull it off, so if you have a scav gun, it will work any way

Been playing claptrap and i would love to see a build for him :)
I think it's wayyyy more worth it to take a point each out of United Front and Return Fire to put those on Prismatic Aegis and Clear. Having the extra elemental damage on your shield throw increases stacking potential even further, and Clear gives +40% fight for your life damage which has a much higher chance of saving you than 4% extra shields and 5% more power to shields that United Front gives. Then there's Return Fire, which again, has a much less chance of killing something with a reflected bullet than an elemental shield throw does.
Also as a personal preference I like to take a point from Bloodlust and put it in Epicenter, works great to make sure Hades Shackles activates, has utility to get the enemies where you want without having to use a singularity grenade, and with all the shield bonuses and Vanguard and everything, it's not too much of a loss to lose +0.8% max health regen on bleeding enemies
Anyone else feel like Athena is a combination of Axton + Maya + Zer0 + Salvador? She has a lot of their skills and it's just awesome to have them all together in wonderful synergy.

A nisha guide would be cool, since i just end up not knowing what to spec into at higher levels
For the skills, I would put 1 point in Conduit and 5 in Gathering Tempest. Use the 6 points from Return Fire (which is useless) and from United Front and put them in Prismatic Aegis and Prepare for Glory. Also forget about Hades' Shackles, it does no damage. For the gear, I would definitely include a cryo weapon like the Fridgia and the Rosie. Also instead of those Thinking shotguns, I use a shock Bullpup and a Viral Marketeer. If you use a shock Shotgun against large targets, you'll get 400/500 stacks in no time. Also try an explosive IVF or a Laser Disker, explosive gets buffed by Maelstrom and Gathering Tempest is amazing for Tediore reloads!

When Bahroo creates an overpowered build and still seems to struggle to kill a boss you know the boss is tough ^^
i just had this crazy ideia of getting all the vault symbols to see what will actualy happen, and my actual crazy ideia is if theres anything related to that crazy freaky vault behind terramorphous lair.

The vote would be to move Nisha out we all know what she can do.
Wilhelm is a huge Char at this point, give him a tanis laser and there is a huge possiblily on him, also, corrosive wolf is a sweet mob handler.
I would love to see a melee themed nisha build either next or sometime in the future!
My vote is for Claptrap. I haven't seen one from Bahroo yet and would love to see his take on the class.
Hey bahroo! If you use a crowdsourcing hyperion shotgun (the triple barrel) it will get your stacks to 999 extremely efficiently.
Awesome build, is just a shame you haven't really been able to see athena at her full potential though.
Don't mean to belittle at all you're a fantastic borderlands player just want you to see what she's like at 999 stacks because to be quite honest it's simply better than jack, and even nisha against most bosses.
I would also highly recommend a raging or surging storm class mod against bosses as it is the best way to get her to max stacks
Then I'd say either the holodome rainbow hologram class mod or blazing dragon is her best for mobbing
If she has 999 stacks she is better but that's if u have 999 stacks jack is better
OREO Barrett you're correct but what I'm saying is that the way I have her set up and with the gear mentioned she can get 999 stacks quickly in any boss fight

I use a Shock Mongol instead of a badaboom, the New Company man in shock for a shotty, a heart breaker for health regen (not sure if its released or not but why not) and thunderfire for dps. Also, you can use a black hole shield, cause you deal a shock nova witch puts DoT's on enemies and before u know u have full shields. All your maelstrom builds up the novas damage and you trash everything in your path. VS EOS and even eclipse i swap an eddie for an Ack Ack and i force him to jump between platforms lots.

Awesome Build Bahroo :) but there are a few flaws... There is a way you can get to 999 stacks easily and melt EOS pretty much in seconds. It eliminates the complications with the Gladiator skilltree and makes it much faster in killing and getting second wind. ( One downside you get faster in Fight for your life if not focused ) Regardless i had a lot of fun using this Build and keep up the work.

Personal experience: Athena with 200+ Maelstrom stacks, Unrelenting active, and the new Fast-Talker SMG in either Shock or Incendiary shreds anything in your path. Unfortunately, it also tears through immense amounts of ammo in seconds. Use at own risk.

***** are we playing the same game cause at op8 jacobs bolt actions snipers suck unless you are zer0 and can hit crits every shot and shotguns are almost even with the healing the effect. I like jacobs pistols though

I said that caters are viable but i like using literally shit weapons like the logan's gun it takes one shot to kill a badass since it makes cloud kill proc just saying a snider would do more damage in op8 than a jacobs cause of the elemental dmg buff.
I only use DPUH on 3 weapon slots the last one is a grog i am sweaty tryhard ( i dont do this btw)
I hate to swap weapons, i deplete the clip, i swap weapons and when i get to the weapon i have 0 bullets and i have to reload taking precious seconds from the buff, to me it just sucks.

Was wondering what to do until I got the Thunderfire. One possible option that I haven't tested as of writing this is maybe the MINAC's Atonement since it cycles through three elements, incendary, shock and corrosive. It's a quest reward so no real farming required.

Athena is already the ultimate boss killer with a Maelstrom build in my experience. You should show off your build mobbing as well sometime. Try a Rerouter on her if you can get enough maelstrom too.
I'd love to see how you'd handle a level 70 claptrap build. He's unpredictable with his action skill, as well as his fragmented skill tree should you choose to put points into it, but that would make it all the more interesting if you could pull off a good build.

Why not take all those points that are just "thrown" into Return Fire and the shield one before it and put them in Invictus and Prismatic Aegis so you can capitalize even more on your malestrum stacks, and because Invictus increases the damage done by Prismatic?

This may seem like a stupid question but technically shouldn't Athena's shield be able to absorb the damage from the eye of Helios laser? Or does it do that but you still take damage?....just curious

Bahroo i have made a build that can have as high dps as the game supports provided that you can kill things and change ur weapons constantly. I call it the gamma ray state cause your shotgun is going to radiate bullets. Ur gonna need particiable face times of every element and a particiable development shock. A surging storm class mod and everything else does not matter. Your gonna pick skills that the purple class mod will give you and elemental barrage and ofc maelstrom. This build starts kicking in when you have 700 stacks of maelstrom because at that point elemental barrage gives you 100% chance to not consume ammo and you will create more stacks of maelstrom then youll be losing provided you prock unrelenting and storm weaving everytime they are running out. WARNING the gamma state will be hard to sustain against eos because there are times during which you will not be able to generate stacks. And get your maelstrom stacks to 700 with face times cause it is easier.
Imo, a Corrosive Maliwan Glitch Blaster would be better against EOS and the other guy in place of a corrosive shotgun. 210% Continuous damage + Crit Damage scales stupidly high.
Honestly I'd like to see you do a claptrap build next just so you can get him out of the way. Also in the vids could you specify the first tree we should spec into and then the second one?

This boss fight is no joke , well from what it looks like anyway I've got the DLC just haven't got round to playing it yet
benjiskitts Unless you have an insane build that melts everything , EOS is a pain in the ass. This DLC is so much fun in my opinion and Bahroo's favorite DLC, beating Tina's... that's insane.

ive tried and tried to get the thunderfire, does self loathing respawn if u leave the area and come back? seems like after u turn in the mission for despair and self loathing the legendary drop stops... did u buy it from a ammo dump or something?

kinda sad to not see prismatic aegis didn't get a point. bigger potential aspis damage, plus not only is it probably gonna be extra damage dealt to 5 enemies, rather than one, isn't ir buffed with maelstrom stacks, too?
Bahroo, please explain why you don't like overload, I use a build with a bonus to overload and it covers a whole group in dot, i guess it's akin to using typecast iconoclast but with a damage capability. I love the perk myself, it turns Athena into more of a facerolly character, you just keep up storm weaving and shoot enemies, follow the chain of DoT, kill that person, repeat. With 10/5 to the skill it is a very high chance to chain to the next enemy. I was going to make a build video for it, I just don't really care to be honest. Someone else can do it.
Could you make more than one build for each, like a Jack one that relies on not infinite ammo?

Why not take elemental shield absorb prism skill? Amazing skill for 1 point and allows u to go down the tree as u wanted.
Does any body else get the blue glitch effect on their gun when it has a error code of O4L4M0A0 which should mean it can only have a red or yellow glitch effect.

EOS is a lot easier than Eclipse, its just a bullet sponge boss fight. Also if you don't have a good build you'll be in it for along time. Worst yet this fight is glitchy. I had issues where he regain health when he suppose to regain his shields and then disappeared and not returned at all. Guess Nothing can be as good as General Knoxx and Tiny Tina's DLCs.

Could anyone tell me the best Class Mod for a mainly Phalanx Athena Build and how to farm it?
Claptrap with his lovely flakker/Tediore build works great on EOS, but causes a lot of frame rate issues on old gen consoles. Maybe bahroo could find an even better build.
Swap that sniper rifle or shotgun out with a Heart Breaker and you can easily stack your Maelstrom to 800+ in less than a minute during boss fights
