I saw the title of this and am ashamed of how fast I clicked it. This mod terrifies me so much, and yet I keep looking into it. I even built a modpack around it for a friend. I'm not really comfortable with how accustom I'm getting to searching for it. @@AREA12security I don't think it's coded in a way to make that possible. I'm no coder, but I think it's done in a general radius instead of available blocks. I've seen it in other videos where if it can't infest blocks from incompatible mods it'll just grow plants on top instead - effectively still counting as spreading.
Something about this parasite biome amazes me. When i was a kid i used to play a game called UFO: Aftermath, which had a thing very similiar to what is presented here. At some point in the game, a "Biomass" growth appears and starts to slowly take over the entire planet. Which also has unique monsters in it. The biomass was actually not what you thought it is, i wont say it because its a major spoiler.
They might already be parasites but have turned back to normal to be confused with the actual normal mob. Also, while going through the video, I noticed that the cows at the bottom right of the video were not moving at all, they eventually did, but only when a tornado from a different mod came by.

I would've set up a Quarantine area around the Level 4 Beckon
That doesn’t stop the parasite biome from spreading :P
Certain Blocks from other mods are not affected. Setting up quarantine with fences could work
