I did & this was my fathers car. I just recently did this to my Lincoln after the airbags said fuck me! I still haven’t found away for the airbag light to go off.
This was my fathers Lincoln Towncar I also have one mine still has the air bags I’ve driven both since I did this repair no difference I also own a 1992 Lincoln Towncar & I converted it to springs no change
So your front air bags were still good I’m guessing ? I have a 2005 Lincoln with the same exact problem. My front is good but the back is low. Do I need to change all 4 or just the back 2 ?
These cars only have rear air bags, front suspension is also coil. You only need to change the rear springs. I did this conversion last night, and it's quite simple. Only have to unbolt the wheels, and the shock. If you have a person stand and put weight down on the rotor, you can get the spring installed without a compressor.
An old trick I learned better than Jack stands, when you take the wheels off lay them down flat underneath the vehicle, in case any of them break 👍
Thanks great video, and yes safety first.

Ever since you converted to springs, did the smoothness/floaty-ness of the ride change at all?
Hope you reply.
