"All I did was give you what I knew you need, before you knew you need it."
Truer words have not been spoken. He was describing the pen scenario. But what he was really talking about was education. As a kid you never realise how much you need education until you're out of school.

I am halfway there with my degree but, I am so glad that before finishing it one of my professors showed me this video. It is an inspiration to me.

Taylor, if I can be half the teacher/mentor/educational experience that you are, my life's work just may be complete. I thank you for involuntarily being part of the inspiration that is my career choice.

As a teacher of 10+ years, I see so much of myself in this piece. Thanks for putting what I feel into words, and so beautifully.

I m so jealous of anyone who had you as a teacher.
I (sadly) only once had a teacher who challenged me the way it would seem you once challenged your students. He taught my classmates and me to speak with conviction... he often spoke of honor and respect. And it is because of him that I now thank you... I appreciate all that you do.
Thank you for doing what you do.

The best teachers are the ones who teach you to think, not what to think!

Damn I wished I had teachers like him, would have taught me a lot in life, though I did have some amazing teachers, just not as passionate as he is. I think that's whats missing now a days

If two boys are fighting, I break it up. But if two girls are fighting, I wait until it's over and then I drag what's left to the nurse's office."
LOVE IT! And so completely true.

He was talking about how teachers don't make spelling mistakes so they don't proof read; and then procedes to purposely say "dress cod" instead of "code", and "pubic wars" to show that yes, they do make spelling mistakes.
