- Mount Bromo is an active volcano in the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park on the island of Java, Indonesia. The view of the volcano sitting inside the 10 km wide Tengger caldera, and Mount Semeru behind, sending smoky clouds up every 20 minutes, is considered one of the most scenic volcano views in the world.
In the video: Sunrise views from the top of the nearby viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan; descending from the Tengger Crater rim and crossing Tengger caldera; views from the crater rim of Mount Bromo.
Recorded April 2016 in 4K (Ultra HD) with Sony AX100.

I still have really vivid memories of my visit here 22 years ago. The smell of the sulphur from Bromo; Mount Batok's distinctive profile so close to the place I stayed on the edge of the caldera; the incredible landscape which felt almost prehistoric. I wish I could have stayed for longer than the 3 days I was there. It was also a wonderful respite from the Javanese post-monsoon heat. I had never been to anywhere hot on holiday until then, so Bromo was a great cool retreat. I would love to return one day (I'd have to get fit to climb those steps again though! )
Go back here. Airplane is cheap. You just need an intention and a plan! And you'll suddenly arrive in no time!

Indonesia... one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Love the people, the culture, the stunning scenery and Bromo is at the top of my favourites list. Watching this video took me back to Bromo again. It is calling me and I definitely want to make a second trip. One of the best holidays of my life. Bromo will always remain close to my heart.

The rest of Java, actually, most of it sucks, I lived on Java for a decade, my girl is Indonesian, there's more wildlife here (somewhere in Europe) than on Java, politics and
religion sucks mostly, politicians are for a reason called politikus, which means..Tikus =rat and the rest is easy to figure out.
But, people are nice overal, just a shame of some retarded religious backwards groups, and then, there are too many people on Java.
You should look at the the video of Hunza valley on this channel, now, that is number one, and yes, I have been there.

This was the most amazing experience we had on Java. Still one of the most impressive sights we had the pleasure of witnessing. Yet again a wonderful video.
I visited this place in 1989. At that time Mt. Bromo was less crowded only few visitors watching the sun rise.
I was there end of november and there were not many people....It was very special....

If you arrive at the Summit around 04:00 a.m. local time, the next you will see the process of the most spectacular Sunrise with colourful horizon like a fairytale the clouds above. Especially when in this place are the summer and without clouds. I've seen these very rare events in 2008.

The extraordinary video. There is no one crazy view of landscape like Bromo in the wide world.... I recommended.
Been to many places of volcanoes in Indonesia. I can say Bromo has a majestic view of sunrise. Cant get it of from my mind. It was so beautiful
People seem to be on top of the clouds. It seems that the volcano has not been long since it erupted. The crater strikes a horrible feeling like hell. This video seems to have taken pictures in a very high place. I enjoyed your video very well. Thank you very much.

It often erupts, highly active, but only small and not dangerous eruption.

i was there during the 2011 eruption and i was also the last visitor to the caldera before it was closed to the public as the eruption was getting more violent. my trip was made possible with the help of the park ranger accompaning me to the caldera. once in a life time experience

I visited seruni last week, i rode motorcycle from jakarta to this place, awesome place it is, from mount of seruni i can see bromo and its beauty like painting on a canvas, i cant believe it, the colors of the scenery is real.

Didn't get to Adam's peak because of the busy schedule. Still have Kandy unreleased, and Pollonaruwa, but didn't gather good enough footage from the last place

Be careful when renting a car or renting a hotel in Bromo because some people ask for more money. The actual price for renting a jeep is IDR 600,000, the average rental price is IDR 300,000 and the original price for tickets from the government is IDR 35,000 per person. If someone does something bad, report it to the police.

Bromo....the highest mountain in java estimated more than 4000m height in prehistory era. Then a super explosion left 2400m height, 8km caldera and with 5 small mountains grew inside. Just sharing information......and appreciate for this nice video.
