It’s the qol settings they introduced recently that I enjoy, true customisation for difficulty, you make it harder you get more XP, so I’ve made the gunfights harder and the ship combat easier. Then you can change how much vendors have, increase your carry capacity all sorts of things.
The problem is the fundamental game loop is very boring. There's no awe like their previous games, there's no Blackreach cave moment. I hope they put a lot more care into TESVI.
Idk the best word to describe Starfield is "average" or "mediocre." It's just a bunch of mid content/systems piled on top of each other. I think it'll get there eventually, though. Biggest need by far is more variety in dungeons when you land on planets. Fewer fungal spore scannable things and more handcrafted dungeons with fun loot.
Fallout 4 is my all time favorite game and you playing it in the background of your controller reviews might be how you hypnotised me into subscribing to your channel. I was deep into my Fallout playthrough when Starfield mods dropped and I have gone back to Starfield while waiting for Fallout London. The May update was huge for Starfield but the new gameplay sliders werent enough new content to hold my attention for more then a few days. I jumped back into that save and now with mods feel like there is something worth doing now in game again but its honestly an experiment in what mods are good and not. Im really waiting for the DLC this fall to do a real jump back into Starfield for a full playthrough. Hopefully my favorite Fallout 4 mods start to get reworked and added to Starfield. Im big into Sim Settlements and theyre verified creators. That into Starfield and Ive got 2 games to play until Fallout 5 in 2030
You have good taste, I love FO4. I have been bouncing back and fourth between Starfield and FO4 with mods myself, enjoying both but 4 way more. Also been finally giving 76 a chance now that it is in pretty good condition, we are seeing that's a trend with Bethesda pushing a lot of post launch support but man it would be sick to have allll that at launch lol.
I actually started the game again recently because of the updates, but I still have so many games to play that I progress super slowly. At the moment, I am playing Gears of War 3, XDefiant, Overwatch 2, Dishonored 1, Forza Horizon 4, DMC 5, and STARFIELD.
ive been playing SF for a while (since january) and ive always had fun. once i finished main quest first time i started using qof mods and a few visuals. im at like ng10 or so and still haveing fun. still there's a TON i havent done, only recently started with outposts, for example. i do wish there were more big quests like the terrormorphs, crismsona nd the likes but still having a lot of fun :)
Same, there is definitely room for improvement but I also have a good ass time is playing this vanilla+ play through. I do have complaints but overall I enjoy me some SF
I wouldnt say Todd who has been working on games for decades is a shitter because of 2 games that didn't hit as hard as it's siblings. Man gets a lot of hate.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial I got the premium edition and after putting in over 300 hours I didn't even want to finish the first end game. Took 8 months just to make maps a thing. Had great game development in the past but not on this one. On a personal note, Thank you for being my go-to source for tech testing. Still got my GameSir T4 Kaleid as per your vids.
My biggest problem with starfield was "placeholder" UI and legendary knives with shotgun perks it shows a complete lack of care for the product. As far as I'm concerned, starfield finally hit what it should've been on launch. Also, can I keep my ship that I spent multiple hours tweaking and fiddling with when I start ng+? Now they want to drop a $7 piece meal dlc bullsh*t before actually fixing the game.
Didn't buy it yet, waiting for 120fps edition (on a discount!). I don't brag much about my games (no vids, guides or anything here) so there's not much point for me to buy at launch. Discounted games with fixes sound like a much better deal!
Yeah boost packing across the empty planets when finding the “power temples” sucks ass. They showed a land vehicle they were working on but they would have been rad to have…ya know at launch like functional maps. I promise I’m still having fun 😂
Hell yeah! Xbox has been fixing their bad/messed up games. They fixed Redfall. I mean, too little too late. Redfall just sucked, so it’s “unfixable.” Starfield had a rough launch. It wasn’t an implicitly bad game. It just wasn’t amazing. They didn’t deliver on 60fps, but now they have. They didn’t deliver on FOV. Now they have. It’s been improved a lot. I’m sure the DLC coming up will make it a better game still.
It’s not no but hell no! I modded it after breaking my ankle for the 50th time. That game is so terrible. The story sucks. And new game plus is boring af and hasn’t changed. Also, I have lost all respect for Todd. He’s pushing the woke ideology and I’m done supporting it
Cyberpunk 2077 has a good story hidden behind bad bugs and even bad game design and it got major overhauls that made it better. Starfield still has bad story and is pretty archaeic.
I played it at launch full of mods, ~60fps. I really liked the game. It could be amazing, but its flaws take some of the shine. I am really looking forward to story expansions, then I would come back for more.
I love your videos! On a side note, people love ridin' the hate train, regardless of whether it's Starfield or some other game, movie, etc. Everyone enjoys different things, and that's okay. Now more than ever, people need to try things for themselves instead of mindlessly following others' opinions.

Oh nice! yeah agree

Better than average game. Doesn't deserve hate but I get the the disappointment
exactly

@@martyfromnebraska1045 Shattered space makes or breaks this game IMO, it's a solid idea for a game it just needs some love.

Solid rotation

Whatever they introduce in the game now and for the next 2 years, should a been included in the 100$ premium version. Todd Howard is a flim flam man

I really really loved starfield. Great game. Beat it 3 times. Haven't returned to it. But it might be time.
I'll probably get it when it goes on a deep deep sale, just hope my laptop can run it. Man, I want an actual gaming pc so bad, it hurts my gamer soul.
I feel you Minty. I am planning on doing a build on the channel soon and giving that away, keep your eyes peeled.

yeah.... maybe another year in the oven
tastes pretty good now
which one is better Victrix Gambit Prime or PowerA FUSION Pro 3 both are 80 bucks
Damn I should compare the 2. There are aspects I like of both but overall the prime
Top notch video. I'm going to download this game on PC.
Thanks man
Definitely check out mods for the game.
I just don’t enjoy running for too long.

Yeah tons of love to the previous Xbox games that were lacking at launch. Love to see it. Love to play it 🎮
I wish u could land on a planet without the dumb ahh cutscenes
Same. That’s one of my biggest gripes, the 3 load screens every quick travel.

Screw the game. You broke your ankle 50 times?

Yeah brother
Second
Good to know. I may have to pull this game back out to keep my ADD satisfied until the Elden Ring DLC launch.
I'm siked for the elden ring DLC!
Too bad I already played it at launch.
Yeah I did too . It should have been more polished at launch for sure
The new map system is much easier on the eyes, LOL
much
Did they finally add dungeons?
Shoot there’s probably a mod somewhere but no not that I’ve seen Marty.
for a free game on gamepass it was great
lol true.
Yooo 👋👋
Hey Tommy, how have you been?
I might need to give this another chance. One cool mod I saw is it turns you into the mandalorian and basically makes the whole game Star Wars
Lol that’s pretty cool. Did like the first 2 seasons of Mando. Stay well chronic
The game sucks
Thanks for that elaborate review.
Whats your favorite controller to use on console (Xbox?
How can I use the Flydigi Apex 4 on Xbox?
As of now I’m switching between the aim v3 I just reviewed and the tb stealth. Use an brook accessories xb2 adapter linked in the description
