    Thanks for the great video. Most recreational players can play decent shots from the baseline. But when they finally earned themselves a short ball from their opponent, that’s where the struggle and the frustration begins. Tennis can be very cruel, if you can’t „kill“ the short ball. That’s why I am very grateful for every video covering this topic. For me it was very interesting to hear that I shouldn’t rush to the ball, because I am doing that all the time in order to get to the ball when it is above the net, so I can hit down on it. I will now try to focus more on setting up for a clean stroke. Thanks for the advice.

      @@IntuitiveTennis I don't think YT will get it, it's far from the start of the video and in another language. I've heard the algorithm only looks for this in the first minutes of the video.

    @4:31 I'm so glad Nick left that missed shot up from Felipe. Great cueing from Nick as always, that missed shot is something most recreational/amateur players see a lot.

    24:00 yes it was obvious to me he was much more comfortable with the ad side on this drill. Deuce side I'm not sure why it wasnt clicking for him. Some mental block, looked like his orientation or stance was not optimal on deuce side. Great drills coach! Good work Felipe

    Probably the toughest ball to finish for a rec player, while being the easiest point in theory.
    Nick Aracic, wish you and your family health and positivity, brother.

    Great work out there Felipe! Nik was working you pretty hard and you were giving it your all. I can tell you’re a great student who loves tennis! These mid court shots are money makers, just ask Nadal. Nikola, thanks for highlighting the importance of this shot and demonstrating how to practice it. Great stuff!

    Great coaching and terrific playing. This is the best series on YT. I almost missed the playoffs because I was watching the series. I am so proud of Felipe and his work ethics. My Grandfather used to say, watch the damn ball and move your feet Grandson. My Grandfather was my hero growing up, I lost my father when I was 7 years old. GOD bless you fellas. I will be down in Boynton Beach in a few months to show my wife how beautiful it is down there. We live on the East Coast of Florida by Ponce Inlet. I will see if I can schedule a lesson with you if you are available. Great job on the video and I appreciate your hard work on your channel my friend.

    There is still no improvement on the forehand at all. Reason why Felipe is having much bigger problems with slow, short balls that must be crushed is his false grip. That false grip creates bad contact with a ball. This has much bigger impact when he is trying to crush the ball and give energy to the ball, comparing to the ball which comes to him with energy and speed. Felipe, change your forehand grip to eastern and you will see true improvement on the forehand right away. True improvement which gives confidence to believe in your forehand.

    • @sergiosimbula
      @sergiosimbula 10 місяців тому +7

      Another one that's thanks he knows all. It doesn't make any sense what you're saying. On the contrary: these balls are actually more difficult with an eastern grip.

    • @MrRando
      @MrRando 10 місяців тому

      Changing forehand grip is a bad idea.

    • @DeltoidBeast
      @DeltoidBeast 10 місяців тому

      I do know about this, because I changed it myself. Watching Felipe's forehand is like watching myself from before. It is not easy to change something like grip in tennis, but it must be done. This way he just practice bad technique. No real improvement can be made like this.
