The reality is that the only people who were hung up with her racial identity was her target audience which was the R&B scene which in turn, was mainly African Americans/black Brits. Her white audience just didn't think about it as she is clearly mixed and so to demand of her that she claims to be white would be stupid. That said, it's all about perception. She is mixed with several ethnic groups and so technically isn't white or black although to look at her, you would describe her a white woman. You certainly wouldn't describe her as a black woman. She looks more mixed in her natural state but she does everything to make herself look as white as possible e.g. dying her hair blonde, using makeup to whiten her skin complexion. The reason for this was due to her facing the racism within the black community and so she naturally gravitated towards those who just accepted her for who she was. It's probably why she only dates/marries white men
You have her history completely in revese, some of what they suffered included mariah’s family having their cars blown up, animals poisoned and attemps of murder by shooting in the white community, she received major backlashed from the white audience when she transferred into hip hop, publicly called the n-word, in reality racism in the white community since childhood is why she never identified as white despite being probably predominantly white, let that sink in. Make the effort to read her book and background before making ill-informed comments.
You have to do the dumbest person I’ve ever come across lmao!!!! First of all she TANS her skin she is naturally very light. Europeans have better voices than Africans overall though lol
@@you-in5iy idk what drugs you on but I want some
@@Mymamamadethis Every African American is like 20% English for one. Lol ever heard of Opera? Europeans dominate music/instruments. Even rap beats are used with computers/mixing.
Nice try though mr Englishman

Mariah admitted she is actually 51
Where?
@@The_torero Oprah said a young 21 year old came on my show 30 years ago ..Mariah nodded her head
Nothing is wrong being biracial. It's very sad to judge your mom. If someone showed your mom. I have black in me.
Her mom called the cops on her, so save that bull for people who actually hate Mariah.
@@MusicWorldWonder why did her mom do that?
@@melsmith2669 Because her mom is a jealous witch.
Rhonda Sicheri Ok, children should learn how to speak-up and this is very overlooked by society. Respect should come both ways, it should be mutual, but Mariah didn’t get that. She is very strong for going against and challenging her mom’s ideals and ways. Children get mentally and emotionally suffocated because if we ever so talk-back to our parents, we are disrespectful, despite being the ones at times who actually are more logical and correct.
Oprah is the ultimate professional. RELAX U WILL BE OKAY Ms.Cannon.
*Ms. Carey
Cannon? It’s Carey they’re divorced and she still kept Carey during the marriage
Now they both have hairstylists for days
I would love to purchase MC memoir

Mariah Carey✔️🙄🙄 now.... pretending she was Eryka Badoo as a kid.She.....didnt have curls or any black external characteristic when she was a kid and you don't need a black mother to know how to fix curls..there are people who aren't biracial and have curls.

To everyone visiting the comment section: there were only 4 black (fully/partially black) legends ever who rose to global superstardom: Michael, Mariah, Prince, Whitney. THREE are GONE.
Beyonce
@@DemoCoverUploader Beyonce and Rihanna need to go a long way before being referred to in the same lane as these four.
@@philipcohen267 Beyonce already reached her legendary status. In 10 years maybe Rhianna too. She's now an international business woman tho
@@DemoCoverUploader Don't get me wrong, Beyonce is a legend, undoubtedly. But Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey status? No. Beyonce is hugely talented but has also much lesser global sales figures than these 4. So its a no for me.
Yeah, let's pretend like Tina Turner doesn't exist.
In my book she's way more successful than Mariah. Plus Mariah is just part black not even half. Her dad is mixed.
She’s a white woman with mixed heritage. Fed up of all these white passers pretending they have the same issues as black people especially black women
She's not white. Her father is a black man
@@RTDavis0503 shut up he’s biracial at best
@@i.i1215 Mariah is more biracial than her father, Alfred is like 99% a Black man. Yall only try to debate 'cus he's from Venezuela & don't even know what afro-venezuelans actually look like. AND y'all forget Venezuelan isn't a race.
Her father is completely black but go off I guess.
Exactly. She looks white. She is white.
50????????? mama looks GOOD
I'd never thought she'd become a mother though
She’s never once denied her being half black and always included that sound in her music and image. Lastly she only dated one white guy her abusive ex husband. Her kids dad is black and her other boyfriends were mixed or Latino. Get off the drugs
