Thank you so much for the video, there are not enough patterns for the rotating double knit loom. And with Kristen's helpful video I now have another beautiful hat!
This loom is on clearance for twelve dollars at HSN. I bought it for regular price, love it! Thank you for this video-I'm challenging myself to make hats for the homeless in our neighborhood and now will be warm and stylish!
Marianne Reddick what an outstanding deal!! And I love who you are making the hats for! That hat is great because it works For men or women. I made the single knit version in a slouchy or longer length for a family of five. They love having a basket to grab for themselves. All I changed the colors and striping slightly.
@@GoodKnitKisses It's 88 degrees out this week but I'm still referring to this video to make more hats..when Michael's clearances the yarn section I can't stop learning!
:giggle: I read this before and forgot to comment. Heehee I loved reading it again because I TOTALLY thought the same when making it. Its totally like surgery and I tried to not spill the guts. ha!!!😂😂
Hello Would you please consider doing mittens and tube socks patterns for children ages 4, 5, 6. Using Worsted weight yarn #4 and on a 3/8" gauge. And Slippers Socks on a 5/8" gauge on a 20 peg using chunky/bulky or super chunky/bulky #5 #6 yarn. Thank you so much. B.
At minute 00:14:53 I show that I tied on the new color to the tail of the old color. No, I made a mistake and didn’t show making a knit but you can see it is there and I talk about it right there.
Thank you, I agree their pattern is pretty and love the unique loom they made. As to your comment I'm so sorry it has really rubbed me wrong today and I just need to say this and to anyone else thinking the same. 1. That company makes a bunch of double knitted patterns and uses all of these terms in their patterns. Over the past ten years I get tons of emails and comments on wanting help with their patterns. They aren't going to change how they word things and so I am explaining using terms they use and how to best go about working the pattern or even fix some of the problems that may come. Because the fact is that one day someone will pick up another pattern and will be able to understand it better due to the explanation or find a video I've done and be able to figure out the similar pattern or technique from that. 2. I try to use a few different teaching methods (or explain things differently a few times) in my videos so that people who learn differently can understand and catch it. It may seam like unnecessary talking or explaining to some but to others it is a lifeline of a helping hand when frustrated or panicked. Things that are obvious for some are not obvious to others. It's totally awesome if you get it fast. Way to go! 3. Also I try to add descriptor words for visually impaired viewers; for example me obviously narrating every movement for a process a few times over. (btw Closed captions are provided as well). Thanks.
Mary Schenk there are controls on UA-cam that slow down the playback. Also, the pattern is in the link in the video description. It is helpful to have the pattern printed out to follow along. I suggest printing it, watching through without stopping. Then watch through and follow along and pause to work on the different sections. I do have other tutorials on this loom as well if you need something different.
Thank you for the great video! You are a great teacher and your detailed instructions and tips are so helpful in making the project a success!

Hey Kristen, if I use the larger topper, does the pattern stay the same? I’m 7 rows in for the brim and wanted to double check.
Beautifully done as always, thank you 😊.
Very nice!
can you show how to do the single knit hat with the double knit loom please?

Esta muy bonito pero sería bueno en español como yo hay mucha gente que no hablamos inglés ❤gracias Dios la bendiga ❤
Why would I need an anchor yarn?
To help once you take the hat off the loom and crochet the brim. Plus it helps to pull the work through the loom.
You said you’d show how to change colors but you didn’t.
