- I installed a new fish finder so I hit the water to test it out. Check out my previous video on the how-to for install. Went out for a couple of hours to see what I could find and it paid off.

Nice! Thanks for sharing what your using. Lots of guys won’t say, like they don’t want you catching but want you to watch their videos.
Thank you! I want the channel to be educational but yet entertaining. For people to learn from my experiences. I remember my struggle when I was new to this so I figured I can share what I've learned over the years and hopefully it helps others.
Man oh man Big O, those bridge piling battles are intense!
That's what keeps me going back! Gets my blood pumping!
It's always a good day when you post a new video. I love watching. Gotta hit that bridge next time I get a chance.
Thanks for the support! I’ll try and keep up with the videos. Yes you do. Can’t say that the bite will be hot but it only take one big bite to make it a great day.
Man, nice and calm out there. Beauty fish followed by an even better one. Well done.
It was supposed to be a bit choppy, but I’m glad it wasn’t. It was a solid day for sure. Thanks!
Some nice fish man. Nice job!!!!
Thanks man!👊
A New Player has entered the lobby! Haha
Cool video, brother. Got out there and got on some tuggers!
Keep it up!
-D
Thanks bro! I'll keep at it!
Good job. Those were some monsters.
Thanks man! They keep me going back!
Damn guy, you found the beasts! 😎🤙🏼
It's all luck bro!
Not bad for a couple hours. Crazy fight in that kayak with reds.
I love fighting these fish from the kayak. definitely a challenge so close to the structure.
very nice Red!
Thank you!
Great fish!!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for checking the video out!
I live in freeport so it's a quick drive for me and my wife.. all I've been catching from the bridge dock is catfish.
The catfish are such a pain. I do drive out to Freeport every now and then. I like fishing that 331 area.
@@oafishing the choctawhatchee river! What do you suggest as far as avoiding the catfish? I'm sure it's easier being out on the kayak with fish finder so if you have any tips I'd appreciate it. This weekend is looking good for fishing
@@RageToDeath If you're using bait, go with live or fresh dead bait. I would say avoid the bottom but that's where your drum are gonna be. I'm a lure guy and that has helped me reduce the amount of catfish I catch. Also, yes being in the kayak makes it easier. Don't be too discouraged with catfish in the area sometimes. I have caught catfish on one cast and the next cast a redfish, just gotta weed through them sometimes.
Love the content my parents just bought a beach house down there in Santa Rosa so I’m going to get to fish this bay
I'm glad you love the content! That's awesome about the house! Hopefully you can get on some good fish.
Dope video ye I spearfish the bridge and I've been seeing lots of black drum and red fish but every now and then I see a tarpon.
Awesome! Gonna keep hitting that bridge then. Tarpon is on my bucket list so I’ll keep at it.
Right on, dude! Catching some hogs!
That bridge seems to always hold at least one or two that are willing to bite.
Love fishing that bridge
This bridge can hold some good fish sometimes. I noticed you commented on one of my other vids, I got the notification but the comment doesn't pop up in the comments section. I'll check your vids out and see what you got.
another great fishing day! what flavor of Procure were you using?
Thank you! I use the menhaden flavor.
Great action! - curious what kind of scent are you lubing the lures up with? And are you mainly marking water depth near bridge pilings or also looking for structure near bridge etc.? Thanks.
Thanks! I use the Procure Menhaden scent. I mainly mark water depth and any fish cruising by. There are a couple of spots along the bridge that do have structure, but I mainly focus on the pilings and any fish I'm marking. Even without a fish finder you can fish along the pilings and have some luck.
Some monsters out that way! Nice work!! Do you think side scan would make much of a difference on the fish finder?
That bridge definitely holds them. From what I've seen and read it looks like side scan can be super helpful. You may be passing fish that are on the sides and never know unless you have that side scan. I personally just don't want to deal with a transducer sticking out below the hull of my kayak.
@@oafishing seeing that Navarre Kayak has a scupper hole mount for old Town bigwater that mounts them flush. Going to look at that avenue.
@@FaithNFishing That sounds pretty legit.
You and that bridge man! Now you're just cheating! Lol nice catches.
It's like that bridge keeps calling me back and I can't resist when I'm catching jumbos lol. Thanks man!
do you have any tips for me to catch fish in the choctahawchee bay
Ans also.Is their requierments i need to fish on my pedal kayack.Im 13.Would i need a liscense
It just depends on the areas you intend to fish and if you're fishing with bait or artificial lures. Shoot me a message on Instagram @oa_fishing_ and I can provide some info. No additional requirements for fishing out of a kayak other than a fishing license if you are 16 years of age or older. If you intend to fish reefs in the gulf you'll need to add the State Reef Angler to your license which is free.
@@oafishing ok thank you so much i will shoot you a message on instagram on my dads accont cause i dont have instagram
where do you launch?
White Point
how far and which side of the bridge
I’ll find them between 10-22ft of water close to the structure. I mainly fish the north side of the bridge. I’ll jig around each piling for several minutes, if I don’t get a bit I move to the next one. If I start marking fish I’ll drop a lure. I don’t have a specific spot where they consistently bite. I figure if I jig around each piling I’m bound to get a bite.
@@oafishing sick thanks i’ll have to make it out there to try
@@clarkthomas6952 When you do...Good luck!
