    I have had a loose shoulder since child. Couple of years ago it became such that I relax my shoulder and the joint ball slides down forward into an unbalanced position.
    I reserved a time with a physiotherapist and she laughed at the fact that I am a muscular bodybuilder type of person instead of what she expected, a skinny one with bad posture. Anyway, I booked an MRI scan and there all was good. No trauma.
    Still having the issue and my big guesses are tension in shoulders and chest area but figuring out which muscles are actually pulling the joint forward is slowly just now getting figured out (by myself) with many attempts of different rehabilitation routines and exercises.
    Some notices I have done during the way; sleeping on side is impossible. Sleeping on too soft mattress causes both shoulders to push forward. Good posture and back muscle support helps some way but again makes shoulders very tense when pulling the joint back actively. Instead it seems more beneficial to loosen the front, in other words, chest.

    Hi,I get a problem on my right shoulder bcs of that my right chest is lower than the left one,I can't even do shoulder or chest exercises without taking my right hand 2-3 cm behind the left hand and then I feel equal.
    I am really really frustrated,went to a chiropractor,he did some dry cupping and alignment,it fixed the shape and symmetricity but after 2 days I am back to square one.
    Please help me!

      Hey - we actually offer online consults if you’re looking for more one on one feedback! A bit of a tricky question.
      The program should equalize the shoulders too though!

    My shoulders pop in and out all the time, they always have, I can create a very loud snapping/cracking sound when I raise either shoulder above my head, however I can dislocate either shoulder with very little movement or effort, I have never seen a doctor about my shoulders before, apart from going to see a doctor, is there any advice as to particular exercises that you think would be most effective? Thanks

      @@andrewbondurant8513 sometimes at night, I will sleep on my side, and will dislocate my shoulder in my sleep, I will then sleep on my dislocated shoulder for 8 hours and then wonder why I am in so much pain, in those situations an arm sling will immobilize the shoulder and relieve pain, (any pharmacy should have arm slings to buy) and as for more general situations of shoulder instability, regular exercise helps a lot, specifically I do a few pushups before I go to bed and when I wake up, also I would recommend that you buy a resistance band and go though the stuff in part 1 of this video, I have, and they have been helping a bit, but yeah, just a few hours in a sling will really help out with shoulder pain if you are experiencing any

      @@vukasin8710 I go to a physical therapist ($75 per visit twice a week) and according to the doctor who I saw, long term physical therapy will fix my shoulders, they still pop in and out, but in general my overall condition has improved (I’ve been going for about 6 months now)

    can I keep working out while working on strengthening the shoulder from popping out? i mean if i use your program can i keep going to the gym?

    • @DeskJockeyPhysio
      @DeskJockeyPhysio  3 роки тому

      Yes, absolutely! But you do have to avoid certain aggravating exercises, and ones that put a lot of stress on the shoulder, while the strengthening happens for the shoulder.

      This is what I wanted to know, what exercises would aggregate the shoulder? I do a lot of body weight/closed kinetic chain work, pike push ups etc. Is this okay during rehab?

    So what happens if PT makes your pain worse?

    • @DeskJockeyPhysio
      @DeskJockeyPhysio  2 роки тому

      Then you should switch up your exercises. These shouldn't be painful be sure to get assessed and find something that is specific to you.

    hey just wanted to ask.
    i have this instability in both my shoulders and my doctor told me that because its an anatomic thing i cant solve it or do sthing at all to help it.
    i work out a lot and am worried if this problem is gonna prevent me from working out my upper body by hurting my shoulders
    thanks

      You've got to do the exc that are good for you. Stronger is always better, but with good form and technique. You've got to find the exercises that are good for you, and your anatomy.
