Thanks for the vid, bro. My 2000 jeep xj is apart now. I went with the crown timing chain set. I hope it isnt shit. You hit the nail on tje head; parts are SHIT these days. It is really strange. We are moving towards throw-away cars, I think.
I'm looking in your links below and I don't see part numbers or what kind of freaking yeah timing chain and gears. I've never seen one that tight either and I'm a master certified automotive tech. I've been doing it all my life. How did it turn out or are you done with it yet? I know it's been two years but I'm looking for some feedback. Thanks. Keep up the good work
I seen tons of videos on timing chain on jeep. None have had a chain that tight. Every chain I seen has a little slack. What did you do to remove slack? I am doing my timing chain this week and I also bought a Melling timing chain kit.
I honestly think its the Melling chain and gear set because I did a chevy recently with a cheaper chain set and it wasn't as tight. The Melling set is much better quality and good luck.. Don't over tighten timing chain cover cracked mine even with a torque wrench lol ...
Im sorry about that . Im not a professional but 2 things I would try is a impact wrench and heat .. If you heat up the center of the bolt( don't go crazy HOT but you can heat it up a few times) that should make the locktite let go . then after you heat it up each time hit it with a impact or just try breaker bolt and it should let go .. GOOD LUCK

I just spent $140.00 on a new double roller timing chain from Summit racing
I hope it does well lol
Did the teeth on the sprokets fully mesh with the groves in chain ?
😮😢

Our idiot brother put locktite on the crank bolt then jumped on the breaker bar to tighten it now no one can get it off
