Thank you so much for your kind words. I only started making these videos less than a month ago and already have over 800 subscribers and 150,000 plus views. I must be honest, that's far more than I expected so soon. Hopefully in time many more people will get to enjoy these wonderful historical photos. Thank you for your support !
There are some who want certain histories erased. I have always believed it to be crucial that both good and bad historical events are preserved for all to see. Otherwise we forget and cease to believe.
Johnny Eck was a great actor as noted in the classic movie Freaks. Not too many know Johnny had a twin brother, Robert (who was of normal height) who worked along side Johnny most of his life. They are both buried near each other.
His story is quite incredible. I will soon begin making videos of specific photographs and this one is on my list of photos to delve into deeper and share the whole story.
Personally met Johnny Eck (John Eckhardt jr.) At a carnival in Perry Hall Md. in the early 70s. He and my mother lived in the same neighborhood in east Baltimore in the 20s.
This holds a very special meaning for me. When injury ended my soccer career early I moved to the United States and had surgery here. While bed ridden after reconstructive surgery I began teaching myself piano on a small yamaha keyboard on my lap in bed. Couldn't do anything else, so for hours I practiced and became pretty decent very quickly. Very soon began composing my own music and performing locally ... the rest is history and I became a professional musician, composer and recording artist.... I too learned in bed !
i want a set of those Glow In the Dark tyres for my car. haha. i love that idea of the sea-through boat so you can see fish etc. brilliant idea. they should bring this back.. at least you would see if a shark is approaching
I think those people were very creative. I imagine how all those ideas seemed so modern to them. A while ago, I watched a video about the last person to use an iron lung. He is a polio survivor, and apparently is still alive thanks to that invention. That's the article about him on Wikipedia: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Alexander_(polio_survivor)
Whats crazy is there's a female doctor in 1911 with her own ambulance, yet woman couldn't vote until like 1918 an couldn't have their own credit cards until mid 1970s..how's that work.?!? 🤔
@@deinemudda6104 yes but it does look like Hitler when I first saw him I thought that he was Hitler but til I noticed that he has a different face shape

Without these photos as "proof" that these things truly existed, most people would have no idea what you were talking about, myself included!

The car at 7:20 was designwise decades ahead of its time.
I would drive that right now !
I actually liked the design!
3:12 Those iron lungs were still in use during the 1960’s; possibly later.
there is one confirmed person still alive using an iron lung his name is paul alexander and he's been in one for over 60 years
There's still at least one person using on of those: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Alexander_(polio_survivor)
Sadly he just passed a couple of weeks ago. A brave and accomplished man
3:00 love the spittoon!
The rainy day cigarette holder! LMAO
Some of these are bizarre. I love this channel 😂
