- In this video, we explore the basics of pneumatics from a film making perspective. Pneumatic setups are used a lot in visual engineering and especially where high speed filming is involved.
This is part one of the series and it focuses on the basic components of a pneumatic system and how you can get started by integrating this into your product video production workflow. I show you how you can make a simple pneumatic product launcher and other ways of using compressed air.

Incredible content!!!
I went looking for part 2, but I couldn't find it???
Please make more videos about this content!!!
Congratulations on being involved in this project!
A big thank you straight from Brazil!
Hey jony, thanks for stopping by. I haven’t made it as yet but will do so soon hopefully
Brilliance homie, for real
Amazing Kirth thanks for this !!! So detailed …. Not sure I’m knowledgeably ready to put this together yet 😂.
Hi Rich..thanks for the support man, you know you could always reach out to me in the DM for help
Thank you so much for your informative video. I’m currently planning to build something similar like that. Can’t wait for part 2 of your tutorial.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching
Excellent work
Thanks bro
Im here now 😊
thanks for the support
Change the . in your chapters to a : so UA-cam recognizes it and we can see them in the timeline :D
thanks. edited
This is great thanks for the video. I'm going to make some. I like the colour you are getting from the chronus. I struggle with mine getting something I like.
Glad it was helpful! Yes i think adequate lighting has a big part to play with getting better colours as well
Hey Kirth, can you tell me what you used or how you rigged the remote wiring
i used a push switch for a floor lamp but any swtich would work. you need to wire a 12v supply in line though as the solenoid needs power to operate
Hey Kirth, do you use any sort of air drying system when working with pneumatics?
i dont personally but i suppose it doesnt hurt to have one in the system. The thing is, these systems are very small and used occasionally so i dont deem it necessary.
For how much would you sell an already built product launcher?
No idea.. haven’t really thought about that
Will a higher psi cylinder push the cylinder faster ?
technically yes, however, most of the compoenents you may come across is only rated at 100psi so thats your safe/recommended operational ceiling
