Man. No matter what happens, I hope Nike keeps producing GPS-level quality sneakers. Most of us don’t care about the eclectic ‘NiKe’ on the heel tab or the Tom Sachs/Nikecraft branding. Those shoes were built to last and be understated, and they still retailed for such a valuable price. Nike proved they can make really high quality sneakers for a good price with this and I’d be sad if they abandoned that principle just because their collaborator is a weirdo
I have nearly $200 in Nike gift cards that I havent spent in a year. Walked around Nike stores for a while and found nothing I like. I WISH I had known about the GPS back when they were available. I would have bought a pair then. SO FAST. I just dont care about jordans or the crazy sneaker designs. I want a good looking quality sneaker I can wear with jeans. GPS was it! Shoot!
@@ImmigrantlovesamericaThe Thursday Boots Premier Low Top is the best value sneaker I’ve found since the GPS shoe. It’s a full leather upper rather than using a textile mesh, so less breathable. But the quality is arguably higher and the look is more minimal.

The thing is, people expect others to act on "allegations" alone instead of evidence.
Now feeling "uncomfortable" is the end all be all as if discomfort wasn't part of life, some allegations are pretty bad but judgement must be reserved for later
I will not be surprised if the collaboration is just put on halt. Give it some time and I think the remaining GPS colorways and Mars Yard 3.0 will release. We live in a time where people tend to move on quite quickly. One example i can think of is the Travis Scott concert incident. After a break TS sneakers and the collaboration itself resumed.

I think the GPS is a great shoe, different from most recent Nike sneakers in an unconventionally unique way. It sucks that there probably won’t be any more colourways to be released, but I still believe that it’s the best solution to cut Sachs off.

I mean, not condoning any of the allegations, but if were being honest no one forced any of those people to stay there and work for the dude. They couldve put in their 2 weeks and found another design studio to work for just like the rest of us would if we werent happy at our own job. Im assuming they stayed cause they wanted the clout, cant have it both ways though.

They had Phil Knight himself on record saying Nike was severing ties with Kyrie. Hate to always have to make it about race, but if it doesn't add up, it doesn't add up! Nike has to keep that same energy and go on record and say they are severing ties with Tom too. Not this, "ignore it until people forget" stuff. It's about principle!
I can quote tom sachs here in a GQ Article done on him in 2019,

I love his shoes, so much so I purchase a UA pair of the mars yard 2.0, they are so good I would order another pair. I purchased some of the GPS shoes too. I really hope he continues in the future. We have a history or wanting everything about a product to be pristine, we are humans and very messy so that’s not possible, I’m buying shoes not a window in to Tom Sachs life.
