It’s always wonderful to see different old beds! I have a brass bed from around the 1900’s or so from my family, and I so agree a double size is perfectly serviceable! Having quilts on the bed as well is always a lovely tie to family

I love older beds! They're so sturdy and long lasting, well made, and beautiful!

Oh wow! That looks super comfy! I absolutely love a soft bed.

It's very soft after the feather beds have been fluffed, it gets a little harder each night you don't fluff the feathers, so after about a week, I need to get under there and fluff everything back up.

I wish I knew about futon mattresses before I bought a regular one, they sound so much more comfortable. Also I love any bed making, bedroom decorating, bedding making content

They are hard mattresses but that is easily remedied with a feather bed put on top.

I have a 3/4 size antique bed. I wonder if a futon mattress would fit that? Been so hard trying to find a mattress to fit it. Love this video, your so right about the farmhouse look, first off its never sparkling white if your living on a farm :)

It's possible! I can't remember if I got mine from Futon World or Futon Land but I'm very happy with them so far. They do have measurements so you can measure your bed and see if their full mattress size would work for you!

Your bed looks very comfortable but I'm allergic to feathers and lanolin, so modern mattress is safer. Love the frame, but again small house problems we can't even fit a full sized bed. 😂. Maybe when we move. ❤

It does seem a modern mattress would be much better for you! Allergies definitely have a roll to play in how we outfit our homes!

Fitted sheets were invented by the Devil, or at least someone that never had to fold the blasted things.

I think so, too! My understanding is they were invented to keep the sheets in place but my mattresses are so heavy that I don't have the problem of the tucked sheet moving at night and I know I'm a very "active" sleeper. So in my opinion, there is no purpose for a fitted sheet other than to cause frustration.

My partner and I use a double bed. It’s the perfect size. When we replace our mattress, I think I’ll do this method! Cheaper and easier to keep clean
