Budget Blues Driver?: Joyo Bright Day Overdrive

- This is the JOYO Bright Day Overdrive. When I heard about this pedal, I was very curious to give it a spin. According to the Joyo website, this Bright Day OD is inspired by a famous Blues pedal from the 90s. By all accounts, it seems to take more influence from the Waza iteration.
So, how good is the Joyo Bright Day Overdrive? Well, instead of giving you my opinion on it, I ran the pedal through a series of tests in order to let you make that decision yourself. No talking on my part, just some good old gear demo.

Excelente sonido del pedal
Joyo has some goofy names and fonts for their pedals. I don’t know if it’s a lost in translation thing or if deliberate or maybe a bit of both.
The branding could be better for sure. The most important thing for me is how it sounds.

"Bright Day"?
Bright Day as in BD for Blues Driver, as far as I can tell.
@@TheToneLounge I'd be willing to bet that's a Morning Glory clone. It doesn't sound like a BD-2 through my headphones. However, it's a cheap phone and even cheaper headphones, coupled with UA-cam compression...who knows! Still, it has that bright and sparkly quality of a Morning Glory and is lower gain than a BD-2.

@@mattgilbert7347 You could be right. I did a comparison between this and the BD-2W (which is set to come out in a few weeks) and to me they were impossible to tell apart.

Sometimes i don't understand why would you consider getting a joyo if you can get the real thing for not a serious bang on your wallet. I understand that you gotta have as a manufacturer something reminiscent of the leading edge but wouldn't it be nice to add a pinch of your own salt? Anyways thanks Jon.
This one goes for the WazaCraft version, which is considerably more expensive.
BD2w clone seems incorrect. It's a Morning Glory clone.
