I do not own this work, nor do I wish to profit from it ... I just want to share my love for the music of Cliff Richard and his Shadows !
My wife and I just went to Athens in November... and while I can't sing, when I got to this movie scene location I whistled this very song. Seemed the right thing to do. This is a beautiful song! Sung in a beautiful location!
Where abouts in Athens was it?
I have just returned from Athens. I specifically found the location of this video and traced Cliff’s steps, it’s the most beautiful view of the city.
For those wondering it was filmed at Philopappos Hill. He starts at the cliff edge near the monument and then walks down the hill with the monument to his rear and the Parthenon to his right.
It was absolutely the right thing to do. You did it for all of us fans 😊

Brings back memories of my mother on a Sunday morning singing along to the radio while preparing the Sunday dinner this song was one of her favourites. Unfortunately she is no longer with us so I play this song to bring back the memories of her love and miss you so much. Same like me, I was early teens when watched it, I made the same promise to go there one day, only in 1982 I finally stood at Acropolis but could'nt locate the singing spot found out later it was at Philopappou hill, pity. But I will go again to the exact spot

I did the same thing you 've done, on that hill, i couldn't locate the spot at that hill singing this tune and found out later that it was either the Pnyx or Phillopappos hill. Intend to go again. We grew up in that time when things were good.

Same as I did in 1982, couldn't locate the spot, didn't know the hill. Thank you so much for the hill's name . Now I must go again to sing this song at that location.

I Iooked up Top songs & #1's in the USA & UK the day & week I was born. I didn't even know the Next time since CliffS songs weren't promoted much here in the USA likely b/c we had Elvis & the Beatles very popular of course. but Cliff was one of my favorite singers since my late teens with his popular songs here We don't talk anymore, Devil woman & then with a very favorite female singer Olivia on Suddenly. I read Cliff's bio & was amazed he was neck n neck with Elvis & the Beatles for Top 10, top 100 charts & #1 hits & we missed out on a Treasure from the UK for the most part. So for my birthday Gift I'm listening to a lot of Cliffs hits from the 60's & watching Summer holiday

There were only a few songs by Cliff Richard in the top 40 in America so they didn’t give him air time as I’m not familiar with most of his songs but I do know & luv all the British Invasion groups & singers.

Très belle chanson en effet !
C'est dommage en effet car il fait des interviews fantastiques. Il est au-dessus du lot ! Il dit des choses qui vont droit au coeur, toujours correct, très empathique avec tout le monde. Il critique les artistes qui se conduisent mal sur scène car ils donnent un mauvais exemple aux jeunes et dit que l'on peut amener des enfants à ses concerts car il ne fera rien de choquant. Un grand nombre de vidéos ont été enlevées de UA-cam et c'est vraiment triste. Il n'a pas arrêté de travailler et il dit même qu'il est plus intéressé par son travail que par le mariage. Il est magique cet homme. Je l'ai vu à l'Olympia sur scène avec les Shadows dans les années 60. Je n'oublierai jamais.

J avais 14ans C était mon premier séjour linguistique à Londres et la fille de la famille qui m accueillait était raide dingue de Cliff Richard et du film Summer Holliday et j avoue qu elle m a collé le virus… merveilleuse chanson et quelle voix délicieuse et quel physique !
