The way he tries to bite samus just shows that the phazon has made him a mindless beast of pure anger. Most of the time he tries to beam samus but this fight shows he's just a prisoner to the phazon but gladly accepts this.

You ever notice how at this point in the game both Ridley and Samus are at near critical levels of Phazon corruption and both are pieced together with mechanical parts (well, Samus’s suit is anyway). What does it mean? Probably nothing but it’s just something a I’ve noticed.

I came here to see how Ridley "dies" each time by chronological order. Zero Mission he just explodes into nothing (gonna assume it was a stylistic choice), Prime he falls and we don't see a corpse, Corruption he explodes into a wave of Phazon (he could've crawled away when the camera was on Samus I suppose), SR he collapses. Super is the final and true death where he turns into giblets, and if I had to guess the in game doesn't reflect it as well as how grisly it probably was. Other M says she was COVERED in Ridley blood and organic matter after their last battle, so my interpretation always was that she was so pissed she literally ripped him to shreds to guarantee he couldn't regenerate.
I recently came up with a theory that Meta Ridley and Ridley from the 2D games are two separate Ridleys as Prime Ridley tends to be more animalistic and less in control of the space pirates.
@@chrisdaily2077 where did the second really come from then? They do mention that they rebuild him from his defeat on Zebes. So unless the regeneration we know he has somehow made two of him, I find it hard to believe there's more than just one evil space dragon flying around the Galaxy.

Not gonna lie, Aura, Ridley is the best boss I've seen, but good Lord..! Ridley getting killed and somehow come back to live over and over and over and over, how the heck does he keep coming back? The Hyper Grapple does have its uses, especially when on Phaaze where it's the easiest way to get rid of energy build-up.
