My uni has a system: Investigate, Apply, Consolidate. Investigate is work they expect you to do before class (readings/videos to watch), Apply is the class so the materials are there and Consolidate is a short task to test your understanding of the class or a reading/video to watch to further/stretch it. Honestly I often skip the consolidate tasks but the system works, it really works. If I ever skip the Investigate tasks (I have sometimes before because, honestly, I’m lazy), I really suffer
Tell that to my mom, she is gifted and only studied 1 hour a day with the TV on. First of her class her whole life while also helping my father with his degree in engineering, imaging trying to live up to that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you so much for the excellent tips! Something that really helps me perform excellently is helping out my peers that are facing difficulties with the subject. Helping them understand forced me to learn the subject so well that I could explain with ease and as clear as possible. Besides, being rewarded with gratitude and seeing everyone from my class thrive together helps me maintain my motivation levels sky-high 😉
Thank you for these videos Amina, they really are so helpful. I'll be pursuing my Honors next year and am pretty scared since I did my undergrad 7yrs ago. So now married, two kids later I have decided to continue with my studies. Please keep the tips coming. 🙂
Hi. Saw your video after I got my 4th-semester undergrad engineering results... I was kinda feeling down after getting a mediocre SGPA of 7.5. Like, I've been trying a lot, but my score isn't improving any further. I really found this video helpful. I'll try your tips and hopefully, I can improve my GPA in later semesters
I also have a post-graduate certificate in teaching with higher-education leadership ~ it’s equivalent to a Master’s. And I also have 0.5 of a degree credits for another course I started that I can technically continue to graduate with a Master’s in Education 💕

Hi Amina, I hope you’re well! If you don’t mind which kind of degree do you hold apart from bachelors, masters and PhD?

thank you but i heard before that rereading/rewriting your notes is ineffective. do you do it in an effective way ?
I actually find that speaking the notes aloud when you re-read helps loads more!
