I found your statement “Your job is to do the writing, (Ai Tool) will do the checking for you” very powerful as I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself with formulating good sentences. This completely shifted my perspective!
Allahuma Barik, it was hard hard for me to know where i would start my research proposal but Alhamdulillah you gave me a kickstart. Thank you for great contribution Dr.
Thanks, Dr Amina...I just started my Master's program and the dissertation, assignment and all seem so scary right now..happy to come across your page, hopefully, I will find answers here. Thank you.
For ethical reasons it would be helpful if you would disclose if you are receiving compensation from PaperPal. I really appreciate the UA-camrs that show this transparency.
In one of my assignments I was deducted 4 points for not including The literature review table. I tried to find information on this and so far no luck. Any advise Dr ?

@@labhairgaelinn No one has been caught or penalised, have they? Society, business and technology are moving into a new dimension. Soon, universities will incorporate the use of A.I into their assessments. I say this because even with AI, there are levels to the quality of work; e.g. using chatGPT will not get anyone a distinction at Masters level. A.I is supposed to help, not do the work for you. If a student uses A.I to generate a complete essay with no personal input; it will likely be detected as there are repeatable patterns in the way A.I generates text and this can be seen in the essay structure. But a little help from A.I will definitely not be detected. This is slightly far-fetched ( or is it?), but picture a future where interviewees are asked to produce a piece of work using AI in 5 minutes and the person who produces the best piece of work gets hired because the way a person thinks, the questions they ask and how they use A.I will determine the quality of the output. The bottom line is that great minds will always outshine the rest when similar tools are used. A.I is the future and resistance to its use sounds like Blockbusters vs Netflix, and we all know what happens to Blockbusters. Have a great day

I have a doubt .. my university uses turnitin to check plagerism. So if I use paper pal to correct my sentences since its in Web will I get increased score as plagerised???

Dr. Amina, could you explaine the differences between narritive reivew and systmatic reivew. I come cross an assiment and got feedback that my writing is narritive. I got lost 😢
The difference between a narrative review and a systematic review lies mainly in their objectives, methodology, and application areas: Objectives: A systematic review aims to formulate a well-defined research question and uses qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze all the available evidence attempting to answer the question1. A narrative review can address one or more questions with a much broader scope and is often used to track the development of a scientific principle or a clinical concept1. Methodology: Systematic reviews follow strict guidelines such as those provided by the Cochrane Handbook, ROSES, and the PRISMA statement. They require a protocol, are reproducible, and involve a critical appraisal of all eligible literature1. Narrative reviews, on the other hand, use narrative analysis to synthesize data and do not necessarily follow a predefined protocol. They are more subjective and rely on the author’s background knowledge of the topic2. Application Areas: Systematic reviews are used to recommend best practices and inform policy development due to their high-quality, focused, and precise methods and reporting1. Narrative reviews are invaluable for providing context or background information and identifying knowledge gaps in a wider exploration that might be lost in the restrictive framework of a systematic review1. In essence, systematic reviews are more structured and objective, while narrative reviews offer a broader, more interpretive overview of a topic. Would use of Paper Pal be considered plagiarism by Universities? They now use new version of Turnit in which detects AI writing
It absolutely would. Her channel has gone from being really useful to borderline giving advice to students about how to get caught and penalized 😭

Grammarly isn't flagged.
Honestly, I don’t think I’d risk it as one of my friends got pretty heavily flagged for Grammerly which works rather similar to this.
