The 2013 Nissan GT-R is one of 9 contenders competing for the title of 2012 Best Driver's Car. Amazing how this 3887lb behemoth looked very tight and precise through the corkscrew and the Mustant 302 LS looked like it had stock base soft suspension flopping all over the place.

Alot of the noise are from outside cameras stuck on the car. as the car is moving AIR is rushing past. hence alot of rushing air noise just like a vacuum cleaner. err derr. how do you surpose they got side shots of the car going 120mph? chuck norris running along side with his i phone?

What is a figure 8 time in a lancer evo
and what's with that loud hiss noise (almost sounds like wind noise but its not) that only comes on when he accelerates on the gas pedal?

I had a chance to drive a GTR & a Ferrari F430 at a track-day today and the GTR is just AWESOME! It was set up in automatic and it's just so easy to drive and really get the most out of it; honestly, it was unbelievably good and immensely powerful! ! In contrast, the Ferrari was a lot more unforgiving and, for an amateur like myself, it was difficult to get the most out of it as there was so much that needed your attention. Both were great cars but the GTR was a LOT of fun to drive! xx
In addition, MT should get there long term GTR serviced/checked, the shaky steering wheel under hard braking is not normal. It was also present in the other video review of the 2013 GTR.

Randy Pobst has driven around this track thousands of times. He knows this track EXTREMELY well. He also drove a GTR for last years competition. Your ignorent saying he can't drive.

Though I see where you're coming from.
911's are common here in California tracks such as Laguna, Thunderhill, Willow Springs etc, new or old, and majority of them are frequent with track events.
I have nothing against domestics. C6 Corvette's come out on the track all the time.
why is it that my heart beats the fastest when I see some fine car?
Another note is that the GT-R runs off a 3.8L V-6, where as the Aventador runs off a 6.5L V-12. That's double the cylinders with less than a second of difference for lap times!!!
That's why settled on the Premium one when I bought my R35. But the interior on the Black is better I must say.
MT you missed the black headliner that comes with the black edition which is not on the premium. Crazy that for a 100k car the black headliner is not standard issue since the rest of the interior is black.

subaru's and Evo's are large awd cars and they drift fairly well but they have to have more power, a better center diff and tires that are found on a prius to be pretty good

In countries outside the US the import costs affect the Mustang and the GTR so they are priced much closer together

To be fair, this gtr is MT long term test car, it has more wear and tear than the rest of the field. I think MT did 2 reviews of this gtr and they ran it pretty hard let alone what goes on off screen and how many staff member it gets handed too. Makes you wonder if they even swapped out the tires, maybe explains the mid-corner push that wasnt there last year.
Still a low 1:36 run that is slightly faster than last years model is pretty darn good for a car that was ragged on for months.

ummm that is not necessarily true that has to do with your chassis suspension setup with the vette being bit more refine and able to absorb bumps better than most cars then awd does not become an advantage, plus this thing still weighs a bunch which is a disadvantage for it but nissan has said they will not take to much weight out of the car because it will throw the geometry off

The sound it makes is all down to personal preference. I personally like the sound the GTR makes.
I've been asking GTR fans this question for a while now, and have yet to come up with any answer. I really looked for a video of it or something and found nothing.

Thought so too until I saw them in real life. Just like the GTR, it looks better in person.
Indeed. Slap on All-Terrain All-Weather runflats (which the GTR basically has) on the Z06 and its racing performance would degrade severely
i liked the old rims
Even at tracks like the Nurburgring and Virginia International Raceway the Z06 and ZR1 are superior in their lap times to the GT-R mostly because of the substantially lower weight and super sticky tires. My favorite car is the Corvette but by no means am I here to bag on the GT-R its one of the best and one of my favorite cars.
