আবদুল গফুর হালী। চট্টগ্রামর আঞ্চলিক, মাইজভাণ্ডারী ও মোহছেন আউলিয়ার গানের কিংবদন্তীতুল্য গীতিকার, সুরকার ও শিল্পী। ১৯৫৫ থেকে ২০১৬ সাল, টানা ৬০ বছর সংগীতসাধনার মাধ্যমে তিনি চাটগাঁইয়া গানকে নিয়ে গেছেন বিশ্ব দরবারে। এই সময়ে তিনি প্রায় ২ হাজার গান লিখেছেন।
চট্টগ্রামের আঞ্চলিক গানের কালজয়ী জুটি শেফালী ঘোষ ও শ্যামসুন্দর বৈষ্ণবের উত্থান আবদুল গফুর হালীর গান গেয়ে। ‘তুই যাইবা সোনাদিয়া বন্ধু মাছ মারিবল্লাই, বন্ধু আঁর দুয়াদ্দি যঅ, নাইয়র নিবা নিবা গরি কত ভারাইলা’সহ শ্যাম-শেফালীর অসংখ্য কালজয়ী গানের স্রষ্টা গফুর হালী। গফুর হালী রচিত ‘ও শ্যাম রেঙ্গুম ন যাইওরে, পাঞ্জাবিওয়ালা, মনের বাগানে, সোনাবন্ধু, দেখে যারে মাইজভাণ্ডারে, মোহছেন আউলিয়া বাবার বটতলী মাজার’সহ অসংখ্য গান এখনো মানুষের মুখে মুখে ফিরে।
আবদুল গফুর হালীর গান ও জীবন নিয়ে জার্মাানির হাইডেলবারগ ইউনিভার্সিটির অধ্যাপক ড. হান্স হারডার প্রকাশ করেছেন গবেষণাগ্রন্থ ‘ডার ফেরুখটে গফুর স্প্রিখট’ (পাগলা গফুর বলে’।কালজয়ী সংগীতজ্ঞ আবদুল গফুর হালীর সাথে আমার কিছু অমূল্য স্মৃতি আছে। তার একটি হলো, বাংলা মাসের ২২ তারিখে গফুর হালী চাচার বাড়ির ছেমা মাহফিলে গান করে তাঁর আশীর্বাদ লাভ। ২০১৫ সালের শুরুর দিকে সেই মাহফিলে উপস্থিত ছিলেন অধ্যাপক ড. রাহমান নাসির উদ্দিন ও সহকারী অধ্যাপক মোহাম্মদ আলম চৌধুরীসহ চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাতজন শিক্ষক। উপস্থিত ছিলেন গফুর হালীর অন্তরের মানুষ মহসীন কাজী, নয়ন শীলসহ অনেকে। ড. রাহমান নাসির উদ্দিন ভাইয়ের অনুরোধে চাচার সামনে চাচারই দুটি গান করেছিলাম। গান শুনে চাচা প্রশংসা করেছিলেন-জীবনে এ পরম পাওয়া।এই ভিডিওটি করেছেন আমাদের স্বনামধন্য ক্যামেরা জার্নালিস্ট শফিক আহমেদ সাজিব ভাই। আজ গান দুটি আমার ইউটিউব চ্যানেলে আপলোড করলাম। দেখার আমন্ত্রণ।
