I don't get it, can someone explain this to me? Isn't the Fibonacci sequence all about addition, not multiplication? Or is it just "haha, numbers go brr"?
The Fibonacci joker doubles the Fibonacci cards.

It doesn't perfectly work but it's because the sequence is made by starting at 1+1. Then you take the added sum and add it to the last number in the sequence. So 2+1 then 3+2 then 5+3 and so on. So you are taking your number and your last guy's number and then giving it to the next guy to continue the sequence

The chatter was incorrect, 'Ancient Joker' is the only joker of the type that doesn't choose it's suit based on your deck, it just picks a random suit each time.
'Castle' does choose a suit based on your deck.
'Mail-in Rebate' and 'The Idol' pick cards based on your deck.
how do you know this is true, i think it maye be true as i had rhe checkered deck and it chose clubs but i had 2 wild cards so i don't know
@@Qyubij The game's source code is unencrypted, you can unzip the exe and look at it. The selection process for these jokers is in common_events, lines 2300ish.

Idk if he reads these but if anyone has the same confusion, there are three types of card upgrades in the game-
Seal: Red, Gold, Purple, and Blue
Edition: Foil, Holo, Polychrome
Enhanced: These are the ONLY cards which count for those triggers in game which happen on/to "enhanced" cards. They include Bonus, Mult, Steel, Gold, Glass, Lucky, Stone, and Wild
A card can have one upgrade from each category for 3 total, but no more than one (i.e. a lovers tarot enhancement to wild will replace glass, but wild will be added in addition to polychrome or any stamp).
The way I personally keep track of this is visually. The "enhancements" all change the texture of the card in some way (red scribbles on a mult card, running mascara on a wild card). The editions all add some sort of sheen on top of the card texture, rainbow for polychrome, holographic for holo. The stamp is added on top of the whole thing, as a real stamp would. Hope this might help!

NL "Discarding a 6" around 8:30 absolutely killed me
he only needs 4 cards for a straight so he added the 6 so if the points wern't enough with that hand he would'nt have the 6.

Pineapple. I dont get it alot but i eat alot of pizza. Pepperoni and pineapple has a refreshing element to it especially when last week you had bbq chicken pizza and the week before you had philly steak pizza. Pineapple enzymes cutting through all the greese, curding up the cheese, sweetness cutting through the saltiness. Pineapple pepporoni was thought out by the person who drew the blueprints for the pyramids.

That ancient joker tech where it "only uses suits in your deck" is false
Fibonacci was actually helping your score a lot more since it was giving you flat mult that was able to get multiplied by the idol. All the other cards that added mult triggered after the Idol so it wasnt really doing much. Like 10x1.5=15 but 23x1.5=34
Yeah but once you get enough multipliers they add up pretty quickly. For example if you have 1 or 2 steel cards in your hand then applying a 1.5x on the top end will probably add more than 8 or 16 flat mult on the bottom
@@rhysdenno5993 steel card would actually also only benefit from something like fibonacci because steel cards trigger after played cards and before jokers. What im saying in my comment is, jokers that trigger multiplicatively on cards benefit from jokers that add mult from cards triggering

It’s an easy bait since the idol joker does do that supposedly, but I was playing on checkered deck with ancient and it picked diamonds when I definitely had none.

Never won a run with the Abandoned Deck? It's actually my favorite! It comes with a free 12 cards of deck thinning. You're really just losing a few chips of card value per hand, it's miniscule.
Agree, it's been my favorite as well but your runs get so tanked when you get a string of face enabling jokers early on. Conversely sometimes you get Bus early and cruise control.
@@touchpadnm1 i thought bus would be cracked too, but imo +1 mult every hand simply isn't fast enough unless it takes a bunch of hands to beat a blind,, but then that would mean your money income is low, which is its own big problem. in most cases i wouldn't pay $1 for 1 mult and that's pretty equivalent to how bus pass works.
abandoned deck with wee joker, fibonacci, and hack goes hard. Hiker plays nice with those three as well. I like thinking of hack and wee joker together as a ventriloquist's act
It was the only deck I managed to win with in my 10 hours with the demo so it has a special place in my heart
With four fingers you can play a 4 card straight with 3 of the same suit and play your last card with that suit to get a straight flush

Root of 1000 is so wonky because imagine you are multiplying two equal numbers to get 10. 3x3 is 9, so it would be 3 and something. 1000 is the same thing kinda.

Hi NL thanks for the pog balatro content! Could you maybe consider turning on the high contrasy cards from the setting? All it does is makes it easier to tell clubs/spades and diamons/hearts from each other, would make the vids much more watchable for color blind people, and in general
There is no reason to put mult multipliers at the back if you don't have any cards adding mult.

30:28 The square root thing is because "1000" have an odd number of zeros! As "square" in square root implies 2 turns out only numbers with an even number of zeros have square root divisible by 10.

I like mushrooms but I find that the pizza doesn’t cook as well with mushrooms on it. I have no scientific proof it’s all anecdotal but that’s what I’ve found.

If you have no additive mult from like mult cards or suit jokers order means nothing
Stone cards also don’t matter cause the chips don’t multiply during counting

It pains me that he wasn't playing straight flushes with Four Fingers joker. You only need 4 of a suit and 4 in the straight. IE: 2, 3, 4 of clubs, 5 of any suit, then one more clubs and you get a straight flush. The 4th clubs doesn't need to be in the straight to count towards it.
NL will have 1 dollar increment rerolls and 80 dollars and only reroll the shop 6 times before going next, on ante 10.

I don’t think NL should stream runs on higher stakes. Not because I don’t believe he can win them, but I feel like they can be a vibe killer because they are significantly harder to even get a run that is worth trying to win with. I think higher stakes could make for really good UA-cam exclusive content because he can just not post the half hour of holding R on ante 1, 2, and 3. It would definitely be pog content, just don’t want chat to kill the game and backseat seeds that pretty much just force a hold R reset.
The amount of chatters who constantly tell NL to move mult multipliers to the back when it doesn't matter is insane - if you're going to backseat at least be right
