That’s because more than half of of the appartments in Dubai are empty and the value has dropped
It is expensive if you work in Dubai because the salaries are much lower than in Germany.
I live in island of Malta, if they had something of this value, rent would be at 9k eur minimum.

Loved this one! So helpful to hear rent prices especially for that area. I’ve heard a few people living in villas for cheaper but they’re usually quite far out from hot spots like the marina and slightly more inconvenient. I have a few wee questions: would you ever move to places like JBR or JLT? Do you feel a massive difference in rent prices in comparison to the UK? And how did you meet your flat mates?
Every time one of your videos pop up it just reminds me how much I need to get over there 😱 it’s hard because I’m not long finished uni and need more experience in my field but there’s limited recruiting because of COVID. Im just trying to up skill in the mean time and save up money for moving🤞

Hey!! Thank you for watching! I love JLT, great food spots! I think there’s great apartments in both JBR and JLT, just for transport (both driving and public) I think marina is easier. I think similar prices to UK Cities but more space for your money 👍👍👍 I actually studied with them in the UK so we’ve been mates for years! They followed me here 🤣 but have also found a flatmate on brits in dubai Facebook group before! Recommend looking there! 💗 good luck!!

My wife and I also moved to Dubai Marina from London, to our surprise the view from our apartment is technically the same, we just see the other side of the Mosque from your balcony's side. Your vlogs definitely inspired us to make the move from UK to sunny Dubai :)

People come here with the aim of chasing money more than knowledge and that will damage your progress, trust me
That's very correct sir!! And that is why most of them end up losing they money to scammers.
Don't be in a haste to invest. Know what and who you are investing to and be sure that the person will deliver before investing.
What about Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman? Are they relatively cheaper? Moving here with my soon to be fiancé / husband. He’ll be working in the healthcare industry and I’m going to have to find a new job once I get there.
Yeah I would say cheaper but I’ve never lived there so not 100% sure!

is this an average size apartment for a couple? Nice view. Nice appartment although tbh thought would be a little more luxurious in Dubai. I am thinking about getting a job there for a while but would want more from Dubai than I have in the UK. Significant amount to make the effort really. Loosing a garden and a detached house for a start.
No this is above average. This is a 3 bedroom. Marina buildings are older, if you’re looking for more modern try Dubai hills or business bay 😊

Hey! Internet bill includes TV but I don’t use it haha. Hmm it’s hard to say. I maybe spent about 10K on furniture as I got a lot second hand 👍

I don’t drive no! I didn’t learn yet lol.I got the metro to work every day it was super easy! If your company is near the metro like mine was you should definitely go for a building in close proximity to a station - in the summer you will appreciate not having to walk far in the heat!
Overall it’s doable for sure - taxis are cheap here too!

I would love to live in Dubai but recently went in October and was dying from the heat....I can't imagine being there in the summer. what do you guys do in the summer? stay inside most of the time?
Haha yes I guess I like a hot climate! In summer it is tough but it’s similar to staying inside due to the cold in the UK in winter 🤣 everywhere has air conditioning so we get by! The worst months are July-sept

@Lilman Yellow I married into a Saudi family and found that Arabs are total night owls because of living in that heat. An afternoon nap is recommended anyway due to early morning prayers and then people wait until dark to go out and about and have fun. My husband often complains that nothing in my country stays open past 10pm!
