Once your car has completed its charging, the car will stop the charging process to prevent any damage to the battery, a message indicating that charging is still happening when the car is at 100% charge would be small increments of charging, to account for any energy lost when running the onboard computers.
Why there are 2 inputs in car and explain types of charger
There are two charging ports for the Porsche Taycan for increased charging capabilities when using AC chargers. This allows for charging to happen on both sides of the car, not forcing you to have to pick how you would like to park when charging at home or at a public charging station. As for the two different types of charging ports on the Taycan, one port will only accept an AC charger plug, which is the most common plug for electric vehicles, and charges up to 19.2 kW on the Taycan. The other port, positioned on the passenger side, is compatible for both AC and DC charger plugs. The DC charger allows for rapid charging, and can support up to 350 kW of electricity.

Integrated into the Porsche Connect app, the Porsche Charging Service gives you unlimited access to a broad public charging infrastructure network of over 55,000 charging points across the US. Without having to additionally register with the respective provider, you can charge your car just as easily and conveniently as at home. As a Taycan customer in the US, you not only receive three years’ free use of the Porsche Charging Service, but also enjoy access to Electrify America's speed charging stations for three years of unlimited 30 minute free charging.
@@porschemelbourne1755 so does that mean I will have to take my Australian Taycan to US of A every time I need to do some recharge? Seems awfully inconvenient, no? :)
Jokes aside, how good is the charging infrastructure in Australia, particularly Melbourne and Sydney?
