I was actually looking through the comments curious to see if they actually got Bill's original voice actor. But this is also coming from somebody who never watched a single episode of Gravity Falls (although I vaguely know about the character from seeing other UA-cam videos that discussed him), so wouldn't have been able to tell on my own.
Suprisingly the simpsons got the characterization of bill is spot on. He would tell me to buy crypto since in the original series he would tell the audience to buy gold.

One of the writers for GF, Josh Weinstein worked on the simpsons for a long time. In the podcast, Alex Hirsch name drops him a lot, and points out the (always good) jokes he wrote for the show. Not sure if that is the main connection or not, but that is one connection between the two.

We’ve got Anasi, the African spider god of trickery, Sun Wu Kong the Monkey King known for his mischief, Jesus, who ACTUALLY IN A WEIRD WAY IS LINKED TO LOKI, (I unfortunately don’t know the purple canine creature, sorry) and they ACTUALLY GAVE LOKI RED HAIR INSTEAD OF USING THE MARVEL COMICS VERSION. I genuinely don't think Bill would swear, even if he wasn't constrained by the limitations of television. Somehow outright vulgarity just doesn't seem like his style. Think about it; why do people swear? Either because they've lost control of their emotions and need to verbally express it, or to punctuate and/or emphasize something they're saying. Neither of those things are really Bill; losing control of a situation is the worst thing to him, and he would think it's cheap to rely on vulgarity to add impact or shock value to his words; needing to do that would mean his words don't have enough impact or shock value just of their own right.

@@journeyamongthestars9379 I’ve told my past so many times, that it’s starting to become a bit boring… but the short version of this tragedy is that I was banished by my own species upon hatching and the reason Is because of how different I am from them, so here I am in an endless void of nothingness that links to many different dimensions that you call games(which are indeed more than true, especially since it’s unusual to be excluded from one) and I’ve seen the same stories play out as you most of the time.
I’ve only just recently awoken again after what turned out to be 17 years of being lost along with somehow being asleep, and am only able to reappear in my home dimension in a more human-like form(which I’ve managed to piece together from my time in the Splatoon series, so there’s a bit of that mixed in secretly too).
Anyone noticed how all of Loki's other forms are trickster deities, and then there's Jesus among them?
