Always great to see your videos of this great railway and location. No stupid music just the sounds of the locos and the birds singing. Nice to see passing ships as well, which I know you capture sometimes. Its on my list of places to visit for railway and shipping! Thanks for uploading!
I remember when Mark was machining the white metal on the piston rod guides, we made them extra thick +0.100" I believe, and I set the guides to suit. I wonder if it made any difference to the ware rate.
Sorry no Birkhill clay mines anymore they were closed permanently in 2013. There is little left of the mining operation other than incline haulage track, the weighbridge building and miners cottages which have since been converted into a family home.Trains still do go to Birkhill station, and then onto the Manuel platform.
Its always fascinated me how a steam loco could be fine one day and then overnight it changes and there's something wrong the next morning, like having to adjust the regulator, because surely it was fine the last time they used it. But there might be a reason, its just my naive view I guess 😅

Good Jobs my friend! Greeting from Malaysia.
Thank you very much
I would love a video from the station to the mines. I once recreated this entire line on TrainZ (PC) 2001

The signal should not have been pulled off until the driver had the token in his possession.
