Go for it Samsung after sales is worst with foldable and flip …. Apparently you will have to pay for everything if there is a fault with hinge or screen and it will cost you a bomb… I have faced it .

Techno service executive is not wrong however, since the bend is a physical damage and oneassist might be their insurance partner. However, the process needs improvement. Once we log complainant on Tecno customer care, they should ask oneassist for pickup and drop, true premium service.

However, I have noticed a slight bias and one-sided approach in recent reviews, which doesn't serve the tech community as a whole i think. Speaking as someone who was eagerly looking forward to purchasing a foldable device in India, We know that our options are limited. I was genuinely excited about the Tecno Phantom V and Google Pixel Fold launches. When comparing the specs on paper, the Tecno Phantom V fold offers an incredible device at a competitive price point. From the processor to the battery life, screen quality, and overall design, it outperforms other foldable options in market. I was truly disappointed to see the large bezel on the Pixel Fold as i was looking forward to buy that, but along with an inferior battery, an older processor, and a less impressive display its really make its hard for me to decide. The argument about software optimization seems like an app developers issue rather than OEMs. It's important for apps to adapt to larger screens, and Google should focus on improving Material Design responsiveness for these devices, as they plan to do with their new tab and fold launches. Instead of being overly critical, I believe Tecno's effort to bring competition to the market and highlight the growing use of new landscape sizes should be appreciated. Let's encourage app developers to embrace this change and create even better experiences for foldable devices.

I believe it'll force Samsung to reduce the pricing. But at the moment, all these foldables are first generation products. And for putting, 90k-1L money, I cannot justify myself or anyone closer to me to get a Tecno Fold. It's hard to say the same to the audience since I consider the audience to be like my fam. But, yea, I appreciate the well thought out comment.
Not the cheapest foldable!! Galaxy Flip 3 is more than 2x cheap. It should've been called - Cheapest Foldable Phablet of 2023 In India (till date). One more problem is that due to marketing reasons (and form over function) companies and UA-camrs are not reviving the term 'Phablet' for a huge phone and nor do they have a new term. Also Flip and Fold are just for marketing and that too from Samsung only. Practically, they are all Foldables and I can FLIP the Z Fold too!!

I'm a infinix user. They also provide after sale service via carlcare. I've visited carlcare service center and the service was totally disappointing. They couldn't even identify what tha actual issue was in my phone. It was not booting for a while and was in a loop of reboot. They said that it's a software problem. After booting the phone they said it may be a battery issue. Then I had to repair my phone from a local repairing shop. And the issue was on programming ic.

we all know service of popular Premium brands like samsung will be good. do brands which are budget oriented and place issue regarding bugdet category(10k-20k phones) My suggestion will be to include inifinix. they sale quite a good number of smart phones
Good phone in budget, but there is no proper back case being manufactured in after market, so if the provided case breaks then we are done. I have not seen any back case for tecno phantom x2, pro or v-fold😢... May be few silicon cases, but no hard cases are available...
Big mistake it gets defective after a few os updates screen relay sstem hoes defctive and One or both screens always stays off or turns of the phone carlcare cant fix nor replace the device.
I have a pixel 4a, its screen became black gradually,so I emailed the issue to google service centre. They sent me a reply with their address, and set of instructions about the phone/packaging/wrapping etc. I kept backup of everything, and they picked up the phone from my house. They changed the screen and sent it back, and my mom is still using the phone. TWIST: My phone was out of warranty, which I mentioned to them, and also sent them my Flipkart bill, but they still replaced the screen for free 😅 and returned the phone again for free

Don't ever buy this one!! Customer service team is very poor. If you ended up in any issue on the phone, you have to throw it to dustbin and buy a new one.

I bought a tecno phantom x2. To be honest I would never by their phones again. It overheats regularly, there are many bugs I have observed in the os, many Mistouchs and accessories like back casings are no where available offline. I would recommend you to stay away from it.
