First time using Onefinity cnc to flatten board.

  • I have a special order from a customer for a Maple Burl mill tray to match her grinders. In this video I'm using a 1 inch spoilboard surfacing bit to flatten a piece of Maple Burl. When this is done I will flip the board over and surface the piece down to 3/4 inch high. Then the fun begins as I then will set it up to run my project.
    I have some burn marks on the wood, they will easily sand out, so I suspect that I'm not running the cnc fast enough. My depth of cut is .03 inches with a 40% stepover and my feed rate is 100 ipm with a chip load of .0021 inches. If you run yours at a different rate please let me know in the comments.
