Stumbled across your channel and have to say I love your videos! Have been playing for over 30 years and have had multi-thousand dollar guitars and cheap hundred dollar guitars and every brand and type of equipment you can name. I'm glad you have brought attention to these corporations raising prices to ridiculous levels while lowering quality standards, they need reminded that it's about the customer, period. I still find it so ironic that EVH ()the brand) came after you over this guitar, considering that Eddie's whole take on his guitar was to take a body and a neck and do whatever you want with it to make it his own.

Just a question! I am a fan of suhr guitars but, I can’t afford a 3k-5k original suhr . So if I buy an aliexpress guitar with a suhr log on it and has a sign on the back saying replica will that be fine?

I bought one of these from Ali. The look of the guitar is awesome -- very happy with the detailing and relic job. The action was waaaay too high -- totally unplayable. I shimmed the neck a few times to get it to be okayyyy -- but not great. The electronics were meh at best, so I put in an EVH Wolfgang bridge pup -- Oh man! Like night and day! Awesome pup, really brought the guitar to life! But the neck -- nowhere close to gig ready. Recently I took it to a legit luthier, he showed me how poor the fret job was -- you could move the frets by hand, poor fret alignment, highs next to lows next to highs, etc. Also the nut is too high, needs to be brought down and reset, etc. Bottom line is the work needed to really dial this guitar in is going to cost nearly twice what I paid for it -- but I'll still be under 1/2 the cost of a branded EVH. Nevertheless I am really looking forward to getting it back and gigging it! Do I think it will ever be as good as a Fender EVH Frankie? Doubtful. For one, it is one fret shorter -- so no Beat It solo LOL -- and no easy truss adjust like an EVH. Overall, for $350, it's gorgeous wall art, and with some serious work by a pro, it can be a great axe!
Maybe not charge $2,000 for the originals. Although I sold my 90's Peavey Wolfgang made in Korea for $1,100 but put that into an EVH black and white striped for the same price. I have the Chinese 5150, and I love it. There is a black stripe that is inaccurate, but it's fun to play panama on it.
$2,000 AND you don’t get any case or bag with it.

Just like you have said many times, if you are buying something fully aware of what it is, then how is it that this possible can be an issue. They dont make them exact. They dont always use the same materials or electronics. What they do really well is make on the most part and, in my experience, incredible guitars for a super low price. I have two Chibsons, close copies of my favourite guitars, and for a fraction of the cost, keep the message real brother.
I have since had my Licensed 5150 set up by a professional and its now my favorite, would I buy it again for $1800......no. I just ordered a Frankie from this builder for $300.

My acoustic fell over and broke, I watched a number of videos, everyone used “Tightbond” wood glue and topped it off with superglue but instead of cleaning up the glue runs and noticeable glue/break spots , now it’s a “Relic Acoustic “ anyone wanna buy it ? I’ll charge triple the price of a brand new Fender Acoustic 😊

The current EVH production model is very fairly priced for what it is.
