I've got a '14 Jetta SE 1.8L turbo and I love it. It WILL get up and go when I need it to. The suspension is rock solid and will handle corners, bumps and turns at higher speeds with no problem. If I'm doing 70 on the highway it feels like I'm going slow. 85 is where it likes to be, hence the radar detector. Had it for over 5 years now and other than scheduled maintenance only had to take it in to have a camshaft sensor replaced. I run Shell 91 octane Vpower gas through it and it runs like a champ!!! It's a keeper and a future project car.
Thank you so much for this video, you answered mostly everything I wanted to know except trying CarPlay lol it's very hard to find a recent video where someone tests that on this specific model and year. But again, thank you so much!
Hey! I forgot to mention it but I will say that for the most part it works. You need your standard Apple USB-C to USB cable to use it. I will say sometimes it is spotty though, you have to unplug and plug it back in if that happens.
My 2017 Jetta is a 5M - with the 1.4L turbo. It has 55,000 miles over 5 1/2 years - with zero issues since new. Average MPG is nearly 41 since I bought it in CA. It's not as plush as my wife Mercedes coupe 1.8 turbo - but it cost A LOT less!!
@@bruhhhhmoment4848 we are having some Issues with the infotainment screen now. Keeps freezing up upon every start of the car and no solution but to keep resetting it
nice video! I liked the editing cuts where you showed pictures when you were talking about certain things
Thank you Justino! I bought a Mac so I’ve been playing around with IMovie and learning new stuff

They’re great cars! This MK6 is a little too small in the cabin for me on long term trips but I’m so tempted to buy one and get it tuned lol

I have this car. I love my Jetta! Great on gas!
They’re great cars!
have the same 2017 sel, 110k miles here no issues other than the battery at 50k and the AC at 100k. great car!
Only issue this car has is with the infotainment. We have to now restart the screen to get it to work most of the time
@@auto_joedam that’s sucks
@@bruhhhhmoment4848 Yeah truth be told we plan to get rid of the car once we buy a home. Time for my better half to get an upgrade!
My new dream car planning to get a 2012 or 2013
whats your budget looking like? I'm assuming you could get a nice example of one of these for under $20k USD

I’m glad you’re enjoying your car! The Jetta’s fuel efficiency is definitely an appealing trait! Thank you for your comment Fred
