Compared to Santorini, Paros seems much quieter. It was so nice to see how lushly the oleander was blooming in front of the white houses 😍🌸 and the cats could still relax undisturbed on the street 🐈😍🐈⬛. The dog under the broken door was particularly cool 😉. I can well understand why you fell in love with the island. As for food, I share your love of fish, I especially love grilled octopus 🦑😋. Although you can buy fish everywhere on my island, it is a rarity to get octopus, but unfortunately you cannot find it in the North Sea 🙁. It was another great walk with you. I wish you a sunny weekend 🤩🥰

If I visit again, I’d like to spend more time in Paros rather than Santorini.😍

Since this walk is accompanied by many cats I will tell you something about a particular type that you meet at minute 28:36 and which is called "Calico cat".
Cats that have orange, white and black piebald fur, also called tortoiseshell or calicut, are always females due to genetic causes.
The term "calico" derives from "calico", a particular type of fabric produced in India - in the city of Calicut - whose colors recall the color of the coat of these cats.
In the period of piracy one of the famous pirates of the Caribbean was called John Rackham also known by the nickname Calico Jack and his name derived from the calico fabric of the clothes he used to wear.
Calico Jack is also known for having in his crew two of the most famous female pirate figures of his time, namely Anne Bonny (with whom he was in love) and Mary Read.
At this point I would say that the cat resting at minute 38:58 in front of the "Pirate Bar", not being a "Calico", is not in the right place.
Less crowded with tourists than Santorini, Paros is not among my favorite Greek islands as I have stronger ties to the islands of Kos, Nisyros, Leros and Kalymnos where I sailed when I was younger.
The "Garden Dionysos" restaurant is appreciable where the dishes seem tasty but where you don't know what you drank to accompany them: I hope you had the instinct to taste the "Retsina" which is a Greek-produced table wine to which resin is added of the Aleppo pine, a plant found in great abundance in Attica and throughout Greece.

However to clarify for some of the idiots making comments regarding the dog behind the door being 'cute' etc. Nothing could be further from the truth.
That dog is so bored and bereft of attention that it has chewed that hole in the door. The fact it has stopped when it did, probably points to the damage it did to itself in the process.
Its entire demeanor is one of total despair.
I know this as a dog trainer of 40+ years and someone who has rescued generarions of neglected and abused dogs.
This does not always have to entail starvation and daily beatings (which do also happen).
Dogs are extremely complex emotional mammals just like we are and deserve their basic needs met.
This is clearly not happening for that poor animal.
I truly hope that someone associated with the island, sees this video and is able to assist in the dogs living conditions being assessed.
My current dog was rescued in Cyprus and adopted by us last year, now happily living in Scotland.
Nobody should just accept neglect.
I will use my own contacts to see if the owner can be identified from the clip I have taken.
I couldn't even imagine what happened to that dog. I don't know if it was abuse of the dog or if it was just a dog taking a break in the afternoon.😔 If what you say is true, this is a tragedy that cannot be smiled upon......
